Hi y'all
I'm going to New york on saturday and was wondering if anyone is from america would they be able to do me a hugggggggge favour. Basically, Last time i was there me and my mates would stand and watch TRL being filmed and the camera would constantly point at us when it came back from the breaks, Of course there was no way to see if we ever made it on the box as its not shown over here in the UK. Anyhoo, I don't want the same thing to happen again and was wondering if anyone living stateside could tape it (preferably on dvd or something as VHS is different over here) on monday and tuesday next week and sell it to me (i'd pay using paypal, handomsomly of course). I would be eternally grateful for any help. thanks!
p.s:I realise this is proberly the most forward first post ever, but i've been lurking on here for ages and us browncoats stick together right? ;)

I could only tape it on VHS, but would be happy to do it for you if you can't find anyone who can do DVD format.

um..

I don't wanna sound dumb, but what is TRL? What channel and time?

I have a ReplayTV (like Tivo but BETTER) and Cable and can easily upload shows recorded on the ReplayTV to my PC and then burn DVDs from that (either .MPG format or play-on-any-DVD-player format).

edit: removed some stuff about PAL/NTSC that turned out to be wrong...

REALLY? Dude!, i'd be eternally in your debt if you would. Yeah its the 'total request live' on mtv,The site informs me 'TRL airs Monday - Friday at 5:00 p.m. ET/PT', If you could record it on monday and tuesday next week (thats the 5th and 6th of december) for me and when i get back (wednesday) we can discuss your payment etc. does that sound cool to you? I can record it for you on DVD if you want. I have a recorder. Can you play +RW DVDs on your computer or DVD player.

No problem, just pay for the shipping. The rest of it will cost me about $0.37 (I buy +RW dvds at 100 for $37 or so...).

Recorder is all set to go for Monday and Tuesday.

Hey all, i'm back! Had a great time in NYC, it snowed there on sunday and on a separte note i saw serenity on dvd in loads of shops (shame i've already pre-ordered off the net,i soooooo wanted to buy it) Anyway, Don't suppose anyone taped TRL for me did they? I totally saw it being filmed and even had ashanti wave to me on the tuesday. top stuff.

1: Do you want both or just Tuesday?
2: Do you want the raw files or a cleaned up DVD without comercials, etc? Or both versions?
