I Just got the region 1 Serenity DVD

From a stop over in Doha international airport (in Quatar)I found the DVD in one of the duty free shop .It has the special features (the outakes are numerous BTW) already listed on several threads. I was quite surprised to get it there earlier than what was announced for the different online stores. While buying it, next to me there were another tourist next to me who got quite surprised to see it there too. He bought two copies! The price was a bit higher that on amazon...but I could not wait
So if you are travelling with a stopover in one of the Emirates airport such as Doha (it is a stopover for a lot of europeans travelling toward Asia) ...don't forget to check the duty free shop , you could be surprised. and I forgot...it is the genuine DVD not a illegal copy.

So i found the easter egg too. Just go to the main menu, go on play , and then hit the left arrow key ....you will have now selected a roundy thingy on your right. Hit it and enjoy :) for sure the Simpsons are of great influence

So far as I am still unpacking I have just watched the extras. We got around 20 minutes of extras scenes which were cut from the movie. My fav being the Mal Inara quiet moment. We got also a lot of outtakes on it. We get several small features about bringing back Serenity, about the earth that was, about some effects ,Cg or other done or used in the movie. And mainly a very nice tribute to all the fans. A very moving moment about Comic Con too....and its inpact on the cast
ASAP I will try to comment on the quality of he picture. For the sound....someone else will have to do it as my TV set speakers just decided to give up and I am now ...on mono not on stereo.
Anyway, I have to say that I loved JW introduction and I guess some of you already seen it, it is a very nice tribute to the browncoats.
Technically, it is a widescreen anamorphic version. With a english or french version language available on it. The french version is in Dolby 5.1. as I say more info later after I caught on my jetlag and unpacking :)

HUMBUG

Hey, I just got the Region1 DVD in the post this morning!!!

I live in the UK & the internet company I bought it from put it in the post as soon as they got copies in!!!!

The picture is really clear and the sound quality it GREAT!!! I have real Dolby 5.1 surround sound set up. It was LOUD like at the cinema!!!

It is real Shiny!!!!

I could watch Jayne for hours and hours.... sigh!! Thanks Joss for creating him

and Adam for putting him in human form & making him larger than life.
