It seems as though some people have a problem with me and Maniac and our use of the tag log during the night. And, instead of bringing those concerns to either he or I, they chose to complain by other means. I would like to propose a novel idea. How about you bring those concerns to me and we can discuss them as adults.

Some people feel that we are “hogging” the log by posting back and forth to much and essentially using the tag as a chat. Actually, that is precisely what we are doing. I work third shift, he gets off late in the night and we meet up fairly regularly to talk. I am posting from company owned computers and we are not allowed to install any regular messenger programs/accessories on them. Therefore the tag is our only way to visit without creating outrageous phone bills for the both of us.

I do not feel that we are doing anything wrong. This site is owned by Haken. If he has a problem with our tagging, I have not heard from him indicating such. In fact, it is sometimes quite amazing the things you can find on the internet. This is from a post created by Haken on another board....

Some people use it for chat, (emphasis mine) while other use it for leaving comments, while yet others treat it as though it was a graffiti wall. The use of it is really up to those who decides to use it.”

The tag is not a thread that stays. We all knew that from the beginning of posting on it. Therefore we also went in with the knowledge that anything posted there had no guarantee of being there 10 minutes from now, let alone 12 hours. Whenever I wish to leave a message for someone, I email them. If I wish to tell everyone here about something, I create a new thread to be read, or not read, by all.

I have also heard that some people think that Maniac and I are having some sort of an online affair. I can assure you that is not the case. Since I first came to this board, Maniac and I just clicked. He has become a very good friend to me and was even there to help me in my time of need after the tragedy that took place at my home. We are close, I will not tell you otherwise. But, with that being said, you must also understand that Maniac and my husband Ry have become good friends as well. Ry knows of our playful flirting and is fine with it. It is just joking around and is harmless. Ry and I are secure enough in our marriage to be able to do things like that without worry.

I have said my peace. Now, I would like for those who still have a problem to please state your comments, concerns, and complaints………

This site has a wonderful forum system, what you could do as an alternative is create a thread on the forum you can use to talk to eachother. Not because using the tag log for this is wrong per se, but just as a compromise for your friends at fireflyfans.net here.

Other than that, who you talk to and when you do it, is really no one's business but your own, be it innocent or otherwise.

Likes to mess with stuffs.

Since I'm being quoted from the early days of the site, for those of you who've been with me from the beginning, you might remember this glorified version of the taglog I wrote:

http://www.fireflyfans.net/fireflychat.asp

I believe it's still functional.

And it has some features not found in the taglog. For example, support for emoticons.

oh puh-leze...

those "people" are probably just jealous that you and Maniac are so exclusive.

PEACEFULL

No idea what a tag log is, perhaps someone felt it was a waste of system resources (or perhaps its a boss who expect to get some work done).

But you could always use ICQ, they have a web interface as well if you can't install their program.

I think the point is, it's nobody's business, and unless the person that OWNS the system has a problem with it, neither should anyone else.

I suspect some people just have too much time on their hands, and not enough sense in their heads. Worry about yourself, people...

Yeah, I'm in a grumpy mood.. SO WHAT?

The problem is there's too much love in the world.

If everyone stopped hugging and kissing and farting around we'd all get a lot more work done to save Firefly.

Geesh.
