Human men also give birth, but only if they travel into an alternate reality where gender roles are reversed, get drunk and have sex with their female counterpart.

Alternate realities are a mine field, nearly as bad as time travel, have to have your wits about you.

Congratulations Fred and Ginger!!!

mmm..hot chocolate! And a warm fire and cozy blankets. Maybe I'll actually get some sleep tonight.

*gets snuggly*

Oh yea, and leftover from the previous thread:

JH: I'll try an irish car bomb if you make me one, but if it doesn't taste chocolatey, I'll be most displeased.

Seryn: Thanks for defending my honor and dunking JH!

LMD: I like sweet drinks too. And sweet foods and, well, sweets. Mostly chocolate. But anything with a high sugar content, really. I like my drinks to taste like dessert.

Yay! Loafer's Nook...

So it's all snowy and ick here, I could use some cocoa (with peppermint schnapps in it) and a snuggly fire.

Congrats to Fred and Ginger! What do you buy a Sea dragon for a baby shower?

CMS: Drinks that taste like dessert you say? Here are some of my favorites:

Absolute Mandarin and Cranberry (with a cherry) tastes like Cranberry Orange muffins

Chambord (blackberry liqour) and Lemonade Tastes like Kool-Aid

Blue Raspberry UV and Lemonade (again with the Kool-Aid)

Blue Raspberry UV and Mountain Dew (like candy)

Okay so I like candy and kool aid drink s(in other words drinks that don't taste like drinks).

Hot Toddies are nice though, eespecially if you got a sore throat.

mmm, chocolate. I'm a huge fan of chocolate ;) My co-worker's wife brings me chocolate all the time. You should have seen the huge bag of it they gave me when I returned to work from my accident ;D

I tend not to be a big fan of dessert, though. I'm always the give-me-another-helping of the main course kinda guy ;).

-edit-somethin' else kinda odd, hot chocolate is the only drink i like warm, everything else needs to be there-are-almost-chunks-of-ice-floating-in-it cold. That's something that always bothered me living in Europe. Drinks were never nearly cold enough ;(

I think I'd rather have too much shrimp than not enough shrimp. Maybe. I don't know. Just had boiled shrimp for dinner last night. It was delicious. I don't know if I could live in a world where there was none. But then....ah, forget it.

Someone pass me a hot chocolate. It's freezing out there.

mmm, white russians!

I used to love those, but i can only get about half way down one (the glass!) before the craem starts to get to me.

Anybody 'part from the british people here heard of toblerones?

they're a pyramid shaped bar, really chunky chocolates with little chips of nut praline or nougat or what ever it is in them.

we went to a really nice bar once with this fantastic range of cocktails and one of them was based on toblerones, it had layers of chocolate syrup and crushed ice at the bottom, then the actual drink its self was marbled with more chocolate syrup and so thick that they were able to float little chunks of the actual bar on top, sprinkled with nuts, it was insanely sweet.

anyone seen that episode of the simpsons where bart and milhouse buy the huge slushie drink and go on sugar-induced rampage? well it was kinda like that, I managed about one or two sips before I had to admit defeat, my friend had the rest of it and didn't sleep for two days.

JH - of course she thanked me, and if you try anything else you'll get dunked again

but i'm sorry if you got water up your nose or anything, I hate that

Toblerones aer SOOOO Good!! I used to go to the continental imports store and get them all the time. I like the ones with the hazelnuts and toffee in them. Although the Hersey's Symphony bars are very similar.

Winter sucks unless you have someone to be cuddly with. That is my official decision.

ROFL the thing about the crunchy people was hilarious.

I was thinking about getting Fred and Ginger a nice vacation before the babes come. Maybe someplace tropical.

Seryn: Toblerones are good chocolate. While I was at university I would often shop at a bargain store, they sold the items that were less than perfect, discontinued things, mark downs, cannned goods that appeared to be the end result of some sort of forklift collision. I swear there must be a whole union of incompetent forklift operators out there because that place never seemed to run out of a fresh supply of dented cans. Oh hell I'm rambling. Well one week I was walking through the aisles searching for cheap beer and there they were, Toblerone bars, the big ones for 75c a hit, all well within their expiration date. I think I must have bought $20 worth. I gave most of them away as gifts.

Mmmm...white russians are yummy.

I don't like kool-aid (never did) so I'm not too big on the kool-aidy tasting drinks, but that purple punch at Dragon*Con was kinda kool-aid-y tasting and it was good.

I like things like fruit margheritas, daquiris, mudslides, fuzzy navels, cape cods, grasshoppers. Especially tropical flavoured drinks because I love tropical fruits. Mango, pineapple, coconut, guava, passionfruit, kiwi. Yummy!

Hot toddies are very nice when you have a sore throat!

There's this drink they make in Jamaica: the Dirty Banana. I think it was a banana, rum, coffee liquor, and a little cream all blended together. sooo good. How many of those can one go through while sitting on a beach or drifting on a floater all day? hmm, I don't remember, I need to go back and try again ...

Did you see the adorable Juggling Goslings with their little hats over at wash-o-saurus?? OMG So damn cute!

I love a good Mudslide. it's gotta be made right though. Applebees and TGI Friday's rarely disappoints with a Mudslide.

BTW: Those don't so much taste like kool-aid as candy. They are frou frou girly drinks as my guys friends call them, but the mandarin and cranberry will lay you out fast!

::cuddles with SR:: Anyone else want in on the cuddle puddle? Plenty of love to go around...

Also OF COURSE the cocoa has mini-marshmallows. Spike would be disappointed if they didn't.

So I was thinking of appropriate baby sea dragon gifts, and although the vacay for mum and dad is nice, the babes need prezzies too. I think they could all use a hand knit kelp scarf. Plus when they get too big for them, they can recylce them back into the ocean (BTW: Sea Dragons never outgrow Jayne hats).

Seryn: Hows the love affair going with the whale? Wasn't he lusting after a dolphin lady? I'm still so happy he has been saved.

It's not that it's manly per se, but froo froo / boat drinks are not taken too seriously in some circles. Beginers always tend toward sweet drinks because alcohol is a aquired taste and they want to cover it up or at least make it a peripheral flavor to the main drink. I'll give you a perfect example: A young woman walks into a bar and orders a rum & coke will automatically get checked for ID because she is asking for something sweet, simple and basic. Now the same woman walks in and orders a gin & tonic will not get a second glance. The bartender will perceive the G&T as a sign of sophistication and determine that this woman has been drinking for a while.
With that said are there any ladies here who would like to do body shots?

I still don't get this fruit thing....

Also, I am not only a frou frou drinker, I also love a vodka and tonic or a whiskey sour. But mostly I like frou frou drinks. We actually forced the guys we know to drink these drinks one night and they were shocked how fast they got drunk. These are whiskey sippin' men, and by drink 3 of what I drink, they were shit faced. it was excellent. whiskey sippers can't keep up with girl drinks! Also I can't drink wine cos I"m allergic to the tannins and sulfites in it, and beer makes me sick as a dog (allergic to the fermenting process), so booze is all I got. Gin though? Eww tastes like windshield wash to me... Blehhh

Gin has to be one of the most aquired tastes of the alcohol I have tried. I rate right up there with Tequila. I can drink normal tequila in shot form though I am loathe to, and would much rather mix into Margueritas. There is a high grade brand of tequila called Patron that is the sippin' whiskey of Mexico, it's actually damn good, once you can handle the over all taste. If you don't like tequila avoid mescal at all costs, it's the rot gut version of tequila. There's something beneath even that, but I won't tell you what it is and you won't find it north of the Rio Grande any ways. There's a really high grade line of Bombay gin called Saphire, it's blue and could be mistaken for windex by sight.
Cloven fruit what's not to get? I can explain it again if you like.

SERYN

Ah to live in SR land, where loan females drinking gin and tonics are mature and sophisticated...

Gin in my neck of the wods has always been the codeword for alcoholic,

'i'm going for a g&t' was the coded cry of the girl who despaired of ever enticing the man of her dreams, or, er, the lady of her dreams.
'tis sad.

and I agree with BEG, yes, it does taste like paint stripper, as does vodka with out anything in it.

for a while I used to love lemon shnapps, like archers the peach stuff, but less sweet. 'twas good. before I stopped drinking I was a Whiskey and coke girl, (JD&coke is an unmishtakeable shound even when slurred, have you notished?)

I was going to send them all to visit aunties and uncles in Australia, Jayne hats would be very useful on the journey, gets cold in that atlantic.

Olander continues happy on his shelf with bessie, they are considering repainting, it very like ly that one or both will move soon though, thay are among the last on the high self, and may possibly come down and be sold soon, hopefull to nice children, but they are enjoying every moment in the mean time.
My attentions been taken up elswhae thought, we got some new dinosaurs in the other day, and one of them is very argumentative, i keep turning round to see himand a few others wrestling on the floor, its a nightmare, i don't know how to stop him...

I'll have one of those cuddles, i've just had the very traumatic experience of 'directors drinks' at work, surrounded by hundreds of poeple, whole i have nothing in common with, so of course i get nervous and start talking rubbish, I could cry sometimes listening to the crap that comes out opf my mouth when i'm all defensive, its not good, seryn no play well with others...

BLACKEYEDGIRL

Seryn: ROFL! Among my people as well Gin translates to raging alcoholic. I had a friend who would drink nothing but Saphire and Dew (yes Saphire Gin and Mountain Dew), it was disturbing. Shortly there after she declared herself an alcoholic and quit drinking. I think she's married to finance major and living in connecticut now. See kids thats a lesson in Alcoholism and bad life choices... hehe

So in those blenders, are you making more than music? Are you making the sweet sweet slushy drinks we all love so much????

I LOVE TEQUILA, tequila is the devil, but I love it so. I can do shots like crazy and drink margaritas until I am on the counter wearing a sombrero and doing the macarena! I always knew I should hav ejoined a sorority and sold my soul for a future stint as a senators wife, my tequila drenched soul wanted it, but I fought back! no Cancun for me damnit! Sorry had a moment of realizing I spent to much time getting educated in college and not nearly enough time half naked hanging off a balcony.

I'm sick of winter. I think we need to have a Luau, so we forget that it's wonter for a good deal of us. Fred and Ginger can be the guests of honor (Hawaii is sorta on their way to Oz).

JADEHAND

I've said before, I'm a big fan of Captain Morgans and Coke, not because it's sweet and Fruu Fruu? But I just like the taste, I don't consider it Girly. Most of those "Girly Drinks" as BEG said will do just as much damage as the stuff that taste bad. So why not enjoy the taste whilst you drink? Vodka can be consumed strait without tasting bad if it's deecnt quality to begin with and it's been in the freezer for a few days, Ice cold. One when in a very bad state of mind I consumed a fifth in this fashion whilst listening to NIN's "Wish" about 100 times on a loop. It was a bad day. Luckily 2 good friends came to the rescue. Gin....No thanks. Yay! Cuddleage.

Okay, that looks COZY. I like cozy. Can we have one of those?

But we drink too much. We'd have to go N/A for a day to do that.

What's a Dirty Mother?

Is it warm? Because I am soaking wet and very chilly.

Stupid rain. If it was 10 degrees colder we could have had snow.

It never snows here.

Hey all you cold folks try this:
1 part coffee
1 part cocoa
1 shot Morgan's

If that doesn't warm you up, you need to visit me and I'll show you what does, (it's a geographic thing for those of you with smutty minds).

Cuddle parties seem sweet...
Sickeningly so ...

If we have one I promise not to smuggle alcohol. I wouldn't even know that Vodka looks just like water if you put it in a spring water bottle.

PS. They say no Alcyhol but, erm, isn't sparkling cider just cider, and last time I checked cider, fizzy or not, contained the alymahol...
