What's up with Gina

Anyone know anything about Gina Torres (other than the basics: filmography, simple bio on imdb)? What I'm really curious about is: is she a very private person? Very busy? She has done only a few interviews and appearances (from what I've seen in the archives and accross the feed).

The rest of the cast speaks very little of her; "She's a beauty", "She was great"; but talk alot about one another.

I think she's fantastic and have enjoyed her in just about everything she's been in. A quiet but solid, signif. figure in the series/movie.

I can't help but wonder, what's up w/ her? Any info, thoughts?

She is married to Lawrence Fishburne from The Matrix. She is fluent in Spanish and I think she worked on Broadway.

She had a small part in The Matrix Reloaded. There is info about her on the movies off website.

harshcritic mentioned that she's married to Lawrence Fishburne, I think she just recently got married. I've been married 2 years and it's a lot of work (great, but work) so maybe that's why she hasn't been in the public eye as much.

Yeah, I agree with ErinBC. I think someone at the Flan asked Summer and possibly Alan at the banquet why Gina doesn't do many cons, and they said you used to, but then she got married and she stopped doing as many. Understandable.

I had the pleasure of meeting her in Edinburgh this Summer, and she was nothing but lovely.

It's my understanding from the commentary on the dvds that her wedding took place during the filming of "Out of Gas" and that was the reason for her injury during that episode. They needed a reason for her to not be filming for a few days.

I would imagine she and her husband are trying to avoid the media circus that destroys so many celebrity marriages and don't really blame her for backing off of public appearances.
