Christina Aguilera wore a very, ah, 'memorable' pair in the dirrty video.

Finn... my "Irish" friend. My grandmother is from Dublin. The words beneath your name are French. The words taglining your post are Latin.

when did Ireland become conquered by the french? i'd rather have poison in my blood then believe france courses thru my veins. hate england, take enemies for friends, but always fight france or i'll slit my wrists and be purged of the poison.

i love bree, but it ends there. i can't even address your response. your very existence is enough to send me shrieking into the abyssal blackness of misery. france? please dude please!!

please scotland... tell me you haven't traded in your kilts and sporrans for berets and chicks with hairy pits and smelly cologne (au de' toilet)! i'll buy every kilt wearing man on the face of this vile filthy rock some tartan underoos, if only!

Seryn... love you to death, big fan of your posts. But you bit off more than you can chew. BTW... I thought I was supposed to bear in mind you were'nt going to argue with me. You're arguing with me (not necessarily a bad thing, I like spunk in a foe).

Dismiss me not, for I hath spunk. Die! Only a flesh wound!

No such thing as gravity. The "Earth-that-was" just sucks.

Finn.. for the love of God man... replace that frog gibberish with some Celtic mothertongue. Stop already! It's more than I can bare!

Ireland will never go French on me. I'm gonna go eat me some Shepherd's pie and forget this digital horror.

Where the hell is Wales? Someone save the Wales! Shatner you out there?

I just saw this movie, and it was one of the worst things I've seen in years. The story (as it is brought forth on screen) has absolutely no resonance if you don't buy all the transparently Christian themes. It is downright odious in the family context. Santa Claus handing out weapons and children fighting psuedo-political/ostensible religious wars are just the tip of the iceburg. Meh...

To quote our dear Wash "Whoa, when did this become not funny?"
Put you guns away, people. I'm a firm believer in "to each his/her own opinion" but for the love of God quit the bashing of other members. It's repetative and uneccessary on this board. Take it outside.

1169 AD. The Norman Invasion of Ireland.

Dublin is a beautiful city. I’ve been their many times. I love wondering around Temple Bar looking at all the shops, and stopping at the pubs for a pint. You can’t really appreciate Guinness until you drank it in Dublin, when it is fresh from the brewery. It really is a beer with a very short shelf life. You have to drink it within a few days of brewing it for the best flavour. Just food for thought.

I’ve been to Paris too, but I take that you don’t want to hear about that.

If you don’t buy the central theme of sacrifice then the story will probably loose something, that is true. Your criticisms are points that have been raised about Lewis’s book itself, independent of the movie.

Stephen Colbert has this to say about Narnia as a Christian allegory

"A Christian allegory please, last time I checked Jesus Christ was not a lion"
