Just noticed that the Sci-Fi channel will be running a marathon on 1/6/06. The downside is they are starting with Bushwacked instead of the pilot.

Now why would they want to do that? Start with "Bushwacked" I mean. Seems like they could take this opportunity to get it right.

Cuz they want people to have the feeling of watching the series for the first time.

You know, on Fox.

I think it is because they just started rerunning the series a few weeks ago...

personally I wouldn't get mad a the sci-fi channel, they've been rerunning the show pretty regularly for the last 3 months or more

I have to say I agree with Embers, because the reruns on SciFi are how I got here. Fell in love the instant I saw it, and I didn't get in on the first one, just stumbled on it when I was checking out the SciFri lineup. You just have to see Firefly, I believe, it doesn't have to be in order... it's addictive. I am hoping that there will be somemore folks out there like me, that see it, by direction from a friend, or by sheer luck and fall in love too. More Browncoats... more chance of sequel... all good.

"So no more running. I aim to misbehave." Mal

I think its better than starting with the pilot. I've noticed that when I introduce people to Firefly with the pilot they have trouble getting into the show but when I tell them to watch whatever episode is on sci-fi that night or they happen to sit down and join me for whatever I've popped in the DVD player they get hooked instantly(and love the pilot when they go back and watch it).
I started out with Bushwacked(when it first aired), so it obviously worked for someone as a starting place.

Heck, our best shot for a Big Damn Sequel is probably on the Sci-Fi channel, and it's not like they had to support the 'verse the way they have. I'm just glad that Serenity's still flying somewhere on the airwaves.

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal, Fox!

I agree with the people giving love to sci fi.

My exprience with Firefly has been.

Went to see Batman Begins and saw a trailer for Serenity.

Heard some about the BDM once it came out from some sites I frequent.

Then I was watching SG-1 of Sci Fi and noticed that Firefly was on. I got all warm and fuzzy after than wondering how good was this show since I've heard so many good things about it.

Then I was hooked.
