I was just thinkin about the whole term of "browncoat." You see that term a lot on this board but I mean what does it mean? A firefly fan, that's pretty much how I take it. Browncoats in the firefly universe fought a losing battle...I think its strangely fitting how firefly fans (browncoats) are doing the same for the verse itself. We're fighting a losing battle to keep it around. We want more shows movies books and anything else firefly/serenity related. Regardless of how hopless it seems at times we keep on fighting and posting and supporting the verse in our own way, and I think that fact makes being a fan even more sweeter. We watch our reruns and sit there relating to being in a losing battle. So our agony over the (temporary?) loss of the show makes it even better. I don't know what my point is...or even if I had one...if I did I guess it would be(and I'm preachin to the chior here but...) don't give up and lose intrest because there may not be any more...instead keep fighting and hoping and keeping the dream alive.

Ain't that just shiny?

Yeah, like many of us, I've often thought about the same thing. It's almost poetic, or really bad irony. I mean, the Battle of Serenity is so similar to how Browncoats feel, it's just odd. It feels so bad because we all know the show was so good. I have yet to show it to someone who didn't like it. Hell, almost all of them LOVE it. I can't imagine what it feels like for Joss to have something so good, such a story to tell, only to have it crushed. It feels unfair at times, but like they say, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. it just sucks real bad sometimes.
