I was just wonderin' if anyone in the 'verse had picked up the mini Serenity offered at MiniModelMadness and if it was any good (ie worth the $20)? Anyone? I'd love to have her, but only if she's as good as she looks in the pic. Thanks!

They don't have a very close up photo, but from what you can see and just the fact that it's only 4.5 inches long. It simply can't be very detailed. To have any kind of real detail.. just ONE of engines needs to be bigger than this entire model. And being a resin kit you will also have to paint it yourself if you want it to have texture. And a 4.5 inch model would be hard to paint any kind of serious detail onto.

So it appears that it's probably on par with what you might expect from a kid's happy meal toy. So $20 seems a little steep, however since they are not exactly making these on a massive scale.. their cost per unit might be $10-$15 dollars (who knows).. so I am not implying they are ripping anyone off, and they are offering something you simply can't find anywhere else yet. So if you must have one.. it's not like it's so expensive it's going to break you.. cause otherwise your only option for now is to make one yourself.

Smaug..

With some cardboard, glue, and 5 free hours I could make a more exact facsimile.

And I just might.
