not a horrible movie, better than average for horror films.

The Mountian men seened very reaver like in both concept and appearance.

For me Eliza Dushku was the only redeeming thing in the movie. Granted it was better than most of its ilk, and I too thought of the Reavers.

I like ED in "Faith"ish roles because she comes alive on the screen in ways that others simply don't.

When FIrefly RETURNS, it would be shiny as can be to see Eliza show up as a mercenary soldier who gives off sparks with Jayne ... and maybe Wash too with some fine territorial warfare between Zoe and Eliza's character. One can dream...

When I said " not a horrible movie, better than average for horror films "

I was comparing it to the last horror flick my wife talked me into. House of a thousand corpses.
Now the bottom scale of my movie rating system is way down there.....

With Eliza Dushku doing a ( hopefully reacuring )
role on Firefly when were back on, how about ED as a former Companion from the house Inara grew up in, kicked out for some infraction ( possibly something to do with the war )she turns to crime as a way to survive ( in common with our heroes )

She could hire out Serenity to get herself in and out of a job, a heist or something. When things go not so smooth, do Mal and the crew pull her out of the fire?

Think of the fine character tensions involved
Mal, Simon and Jayne could develope a thing for her. Kaylee might be slighted by this, Inara could have some past grudge, Zoe and Wash could have their own suspicions. And possibly she knows Book from the old days, but of course doesn't say who he really is.

River of course, reads her and goes one way or the other........

If she tried, it would be a very short episode. Wash loves Zoe, and even if he doesn't, she can kill him. Eliza messes with Wash, he either says no, or Zoe kills him quickly. All before the first commercial.

Not necessarily, lad. There can be smoke and fire through inuendo not to mention clever plot lines (and not so clever ones), Wash and Eliza in a shuttle go on a mission all by themselves. Zoe off with Jayne following the Captain. All kinds of mischief and mayhem can happen. And it can be spun out deliciously and deviously.

Remember the truely funny scene in Our Mrs Reynolds where Saffron cooked supper for Mal, and the obvious Envy Wash showed when looking at ( and later eating ) said supper.
I think Zoes line was " Remember that sex we were going to have... ever "

I for one really enjoy the banter between Zoe and Wash, and felt Wash was an underdeveloped character, screaming for more story time. One thing I did notice, was I had never seen Wash packing heat until War Stories ( where everyone did ) and then Heart of Gold where he had that huge revolver on his hip. I wondered if that was a result of getting caught by Niska. Anyone know the type of pistol he had, I thought it was a .454 casull, but I am no pistol expert.
