* C'mon, gotta happen eventually.

The instrumental bridge and final verse of "Arlington" by the Wailin' Jennys sounds perfect for the dark ending of an episode, one where hope seems nearly gone, or after great disappointment or loss.

Annabelle's violin in particular sounds as if I'd already heard it on a Firefly episode, but of course that'd require time travel.

Quote:

Where is your home restless wind
Is it there, is it here
Do you search for a place to belong
Search in vain, search in fear
Or is your spirit everywhere
Is your voice every tree
Your soul of the air
If there's no home is there no death
Is there no death

UNREGISTEREDCOMPANION

I like things with a more hard edge to it. Yeah, doesn't fit with the current style, but how about this song released last year by Breaking Benjamin?

Firefly

"You my friend
You're a lot like them
But I cut your line
And you know I did
Now I'm lost in you
Like I always do
And I'd die to win
'Cause I'm born to lose

[Chorus:]
Firefly
Could you shine your light
Now I know your ways
'cause they're just like mine
Now I'm justified
As I fall in line
And it's hard to try
When you're open wide

Take my hand
We'll be off and then
We'll come back again
To a different land
Now I like this way
You can go away
If you guess the name
You cannot replace

[Chorus]

Bring me your enemies
Lay them before me
And walk away

[Chorus]

F**k you firefly
Have you lost your light
Now I hate your ways
'cause they're just like mine
So you lost my friend
Such a sorry end
Now I don't know why
So I choke and smile"

~~~~~
"Funny and sexy. You have no idea. And you never will."
