I was thinkin' (I know...dangerous)

And, remember how the whole Star Trek thing came to be? I show with low ratings cancelled before its time that grew to be a huge cash cow?

Are Fox and/or Universal trying to do the whole thing again?
First, take the TV show and destroy it...then make a movie...then FIREFLY THE NEXT GENERATION?

I belong to a star trek group, with a number of us Browncoats as well. We've been thinking that that's the way it could happen for quite awhile now.
But not really conspiracy....

I hope it doesn't take as long...
Star Trek was canceled in 1969?
And the movie didn't come out until Fall of 1980
then The Next Generation didn't come out until the late 1980s, didn't it?

Firefly was canceled a lot faster,
but the movie was made a lot quicker too...

so I don't know if we'll get a sequel or a new TV show,
but I have faith that the fandom WILL keep growing,
and we'll get more...eventually

We are very lucky in one thing, Joss is still quite young, only 41, so I think we have plenty of time for a lot more Firefly/Serenity fun

As long as it's with this crew... I'm there.
Can't go a different crew though. Gotta be Mal there for sure.

Maybe SciFi, who is connected to Universal is thinking of bringing the show back if there is enough interest after the movie.

That'd be ok, a season or two of shows... then another BDM, then another season or 9...

Thanks,itsbroken... I get nervous when folks say stuff like " the Next Generation".

I want more Firefly..Lordy do I ever! But only these folks can make this 'verse be alive for me.
They were born to play these characters I believe.

When I watch the BDM with Joss' commentary, I hear him say over and over that these guys and gals "KNOW" their characters... in a deep way.

That translates and resonates with all of us. They help us fall in love with them and the ship. Just as much as Joss' writing does.

That is exactly what I would have said if I were capable of saying things without making a rant.
