Hi! I'm new and have been lurking for a bit. I've just recently become obsessed with Firefly thanks to a Firefly marathon on the Sci-Fi channel. I wasn't even really paying attention to the show. I had the tv on as background noise while I worked on my computer, but it slowly sucked me in. Now I'm spreading the word and loaning out my Firefly dvd set. Is it bad that I've watched some of the episodes in French just to hear what the different characters sound like in another language? Too bad I got into this thing a little late. The way the Serenity movie came into being is such a cool story.

Welcome Littlemissfoo! I too am relatively new here, and didn't discover Firefly until around November. By then, the BDM (that's Big Damn Movie in case you haven't figured that out) was almost gone from the theaters, but luckily I caught a showing of it before it left. I've been hooked ever since, and my wife and friends are tired of me talking about Firefly by now. They think I'm crazy, and obsessed, which I guess I am a little of both, but it's a good kind of crazy obsession!
