I would love to see another Serenity movie, and I think that figuring out why they are making another Highlander movie can give some clues to success. HL has a similarly fanatical fanbase, Endgame had a similar box office failure... and Endgame was really NOT fun. All the fan fic, stories and cool characters they had to choose from and they came up with THAT story? Sheesh... Joss is so much more considerate of his fan base and his art. But if the notoriously inconsiderate HL PTB can decide to make another, it is possible to imagine another Serenity. I know Hollywood isn't about quality, it's about profits. Yet it is only logical that if studios keep making boring unfun movie after mindless sleep-inducing flic, well, people will stop going. Ultimately, some studio will spend money, maybe they will spend it on something entertaining?
