This is my favorite episode (along with all the rest). I guess I'm watchin it again because of what's happening in West Virginia (the coal mine explosion and carbon monoxide levels being too high-as of right now they have found 1 body but nothing of the 12 others-hopefully they have found some hidy hole with air).

The miners would probablly fit right in the 'verse being a very independent and straightforward type of people.

Everyone please remember these guys and their families as they are in their own version of Out of Gas-hopefully with a ending like Firefly.

America loves a winner!

Very sobering thought indeed. And if you recall in The Train Job, there was the backdrop of the mining town, Paradiso. Mal risked everything to call the deal off w/ Niska and deliver the meds to thems in need.

Thoughts for the real life heros in their efforts.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

Good news, just checked Yahoo and the other 12 have been found alive. That is great news. I pray for family of the one that did die, but thank God the other 12 survived.

Just saw it too! Thank goodness! It's a miracle! They apparently found a room about 260 feet below the surface.

Terry Helms, the fireboss, was just identified by Fox News as the dead miner. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

BTW the people of Haven were miners too-just remembered that. Hope the community in West Virginia has a preacher as good as Shephard Book.

oh wow, those first reports were wrong. at first they said 12 of them were found alive. now they are saying that 12 were found dead. only one survived and has been hospitalized. that is truely sad. may they rest in peace and may their families and loved ones be comforted.
