DVD extras question

Greetings, Browncoats. I have a question about the extra info included on the series DVDs. There was discussion by the cast members of finding out more about the Corporation behind the Two by Two, Hands of Blue guys - either in the movie, or if the series had been continued. The only time I remember seeing the logo for this corporation was in this particular snippet of cast conversation. It didn't show up in Serenity, so I'm just wondering if any of you know anything about it. Thanks!

Ahh, Blue Sun was the name then? I didn't have a chance to go look at it again. So, I'll be on the lookout for references to Blue Sun. Thanks!

Welcome to the site Kmom!

You will see Blue Sun references throughout the series & couple of times in the movie. In the series there are Blue Sun signs on cargo containers, on food cans, there is a commercial for Blue Sun cola, Jayne wears a Blue Sun t-shirt, etc. In the movie there is the bottle w/ the Blue Sun label that Jayne drinks out of & passes to Simon, the aforementioned Blue Sun cola commercial makes an appearance on one of the screens that Mr Universe has up in his lair, and a small blue sun shows up on the animated Fruity Oaty Bars commercial in the Maidenshead Bar.

Obviously Blue Sun is some megacorp in the 'verse that seems to have a lot of influence & power. Could be they were behind the experiments done to River.

At the very beginning of the Fruity Oaty Bar commercial there is a shot of a rising blue sun as well.
