I was curious, so I took a peek.

Here they are - comments please from those in the know, especially re. the first one...

"Factual error: According to Joss Whedon, people in the Firefly universe speak only English and/or Chinese (see Special Features and the movie's subtitles), and yet, the writing we see everywhere is Japanese (there's a difference between Japanese and Chinese script; it's obvious for those who know).

Continuity: After Serenity crash lands on Mr. Universe's planet, the crew is in a room discussing what to do next. Kaylee says she can rig the door so it won't open once it's shut. All points say she has done this. However, once Mal comes back, he asks where River is. The door which is supposed to be shut for good opens dramatically to show River standing in the middle of dead Reavers just in time for the wall to fall down. River is nowhere near the door, and no one inside the room has gone anywhere near it either.

Continuity: When Shepherd places his hand on Mal's ear and face, it leaves a large bloody mark. The mark vanishes for a few shots, then returns.

Continuity: When the crew are sitting in the dining area of the ship after discovering the recording on Miranda, Jayne slides the bottle he's drinking from to Simon, who grabs it with the label towards the camera. The shot cuts away, and when it cuts back, Simon is holding it with the label away from the camera.

Continuity: During the last fight with the Reavers, Inara is holding a blaster gun shaped like a bow and arrow in close up shots. In any shot that shows the whole crew, the blaster changes into an actual bow and arrow. The producers didn't like the bow so they actually enhanced it with CGI to make it bigger and "cooler", so those shots of the whole crew are probably shots where they forgot to add the CGI or assumed people wouldnt notice."

Grumpily waiting for the end of February...

i actually noticed the mistake with the blood from Book's hand when watching the BDM today. I didn't go back to double-check it. i thought maybe it was just lighting, because in that shot, that part of his face is shadowed. but it could be missing, like i said, it didn't bother me enough to double-check it. i understand the other mistakes, and i guess they don't really bother me any at all. i must say, so far Serenity has very few mistakes on the site if that is it so far. i haven't been to that site in quite some time, but a lot of movies have A LOT of little mistakes and inconsistencies. one thing i notice all the time in the movie, is when they are spiraling down after the EMP, when Wash is trying some of the switches, one of the panels of switches jerks around on the console when he's trying them. it could just be mistaken as a loose panel on the worn out Serenity, or it could just be a small movie mistake. i really don't know how to look at it. could be either. can't say i really care.

I noticed this one the first time I saw the movie and it totally pissed me off. I was probably still grumpy from seeing Wash die, but I thought having such an obvious continuity error was beneath Joss and the high standard of Firefly in general. I've got a couple problems with the last bit of the movie anyway, but this is the biggest one of them.

The one with River and the door is not necessarily a glitch, the fact that it opens just in time for the wall to come down implies that it was opened by remote by the Alliance. After all it makes a hell of a lot more sense to take the enemy by surprise by taking out the wall than taking out the wall and leaving all nearby doors closed so you can be heard (notifying everyone to your presence) but letting them stay hidden from you.

Not opening the door prior to taking out the wall would make no sense.

If, on the other hand, it had randomly opened and was not immediately followed by the wall being taken out it would be harder to explain, though there are certainly at least three totally logical explanations.
