Even though me and my roomate havent been there since the begining, We now love firefly. We started watching it about two weeks ago after seeing Serenity. We fell in love from the very first episode. So Until Firefly Comes back here is what we plan to do. We are going to watch 1-3 episodes a night every week. and watch Serenity once a week on Sundays. We are in this for the long haul. Spread the word. I will leave you now, because its sunday, and i have just popped Serenity in the dvd player.

I'm castigating myself...I lent my first two discs of Firefly out because I was so bent on spreading the word, and now I don't have them to watch again. I've heard a true browncoat has at least two sets...one to keep and one to lend. I might be earning my stripes soon.

Also get 2 copies of the BDM. Otherwise you'll go thru an awful Firefly/Serenity withdrawl despite the novelization, fanfics, the Visual Companion etc. If your lent copies fail to return in 1-2 days then that may be a sign that you have made your first convert.

Ah yes, I remember my first Firefly convert. My brother and his wife. Trying to convert there bigger little one, but apparently they aren't sure a 13 year old's ready for companion on guy sex scenes, Reaver mutilations, and all that other good stuff in our 'verse. I'll keep trying though.

Glad to see the movie brought us some new converts. Also glad to see people assuming we'll be getting a continuation. Optimism is a fan's best friend, I say.

How's my firefly speak? Good? Bad? Fee-oo?

...It's fee-oo isn't it?

Well, if you are going to see serenity once a week, then bring at least 1 new guy each time. That will create a bunch of converts :)

Ive leant my copy of the seriese to my girlfriend and her family to watch, they all love it and thier harcore sci fi ans, they own all of the farscape, stargate and dark angel dvds and they said that thier gonna sprewad the word, by this time next year we could have doubled, nay tripled our numbers. Theres a fanbase neither fox, universal or the sci fi channel can ignore!

They can ignore it for some time. But eventually someone will see the money in the huge fan base (its not huge now, but i havent seen many fans "leave", only new ones coming). So the fan base is growing, and pretty fast too. So as you say, in a year or two, (yeah, things take time - just look at the span between firefly and serentiy) the fan base might be big enough to warrant a sequel.

Keep spreading the word :)

I'm just basically twidling my thumbs lol. Also, I do have other fandoms (ex. Buffy and Angel) to keep me occupied till Firefly comes back.
