I am probably late catching on – but it appears to me that our beloved Jayne Cobb is named after Jayne Mansfield. Anyone confirm or deny my suspicions?

1: Both spell their name Jayne
2: Both have a ballad named after them “Ballad of Jayne” by LA Guns honoring Jayne Mansfield, and “Ballad of Jayne Cobb” honoring Jayne Cobb.
3: Jayne Cobb’s favorite rifle is named “Vera” – Jayne Mansfield’s birth name was Vera Jayne Palmer.

I suspect the bright minds of this board can find some additional connections. Besides Jubal Early, anyone know of any other connections between other characters names and real folks from "history"?
