It pains me to watch Inara and Mal

It pains me to watch Inara and Mal because the dynamic between them is so good. I laughed when Inara tried to cover up the fact that she kissed the unconscious Mal in "Our Mrs. Reynolds". I almost cried when Inara wept upon discovering that Mal slept with Nandi in "Heart of Gold". I haven't seen an on-screen romance affect me this much since....gee.....Buffy and Angel. Joss really knows how to pull at the heart strings.

The biggest thing that pains me however is the fact that I won't get to see any more of this romance (as far as we know anyway).

The way Mal fumbled his words when Inara caught him coming out of Nandi's room was an incredible performance by Nathan.

America loves a winner!

I know what ya mean. Speaking of The Kiss which Mal imagined between Inara and Saphron, it's fun to think that Mal knows Inara really DID kiss him, but he's just playing her, to see how she'd react. Sort of him getting back at her with all her feminine wiles. ( heh heh ) Or it's funny 'cause he's so clever, and still just doesn't get it. It works both ways, because we really don't know, for certain.

The movie, I think, did them justice. The scene of them chatting, like teenagers, as the crew watches on, was priceless. Inara's answer at the end, with that unsure smile on her face, showed me all I need to know, for now.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

They do look good together. They clash and flirt with each other so well that sometimes I wonder if it's still acting.... hmm... I guess so. They compliment each other in a very funny, sexy, and sometimes frustrating kinda way. Perfect couple for a perfect story.

As for pain....

There's more and more new recruits(like myself) popping out every minute so we just might see our favorite heroes and couple back on screen. Then there's more pain and joy in the future for people like you and me ...and someday... (I just know it)... Mal and Inara will finally find a way to be together and who know's ... maybe even have 10 fat kids( Our Mrs Reynolds).
