I bought Remington Steele Season 1 for XMas for myself ....

I finally got to opening it up and I decided to check the catalog packaged with my set ... you know the one where FOX KNOWS TV DVD

According to the catalog one can get a copy of
something called

FIREFLY THE COMPLETE SERIES. [The premise of this show is that] This highly innovative drama combines futuristic crime-fighting with a Wild West theme

Makes me almost want to get another copy ..... of that show about crime fighting in the future

hmm....This would mark the first time that Firefly has even been advertised by 20th Century Fox since its release three years ago. That is definitely saying something.

I got a Fox dvd set for Xmas also. I was looking through their Fox TV on DVD booklet inside and also noticed that a fairly large percentage of the shows they were advertising were ones that had been cancelled (arguably prematurely)within 1 or 2 seasons.

Firefly, Lone Gunmen, Harsh Realms, Family Guy, Wonderfalls,...

There were at least 4 or 5 others though I can't remember them off the top of my head at the moment.

At what school for the mentally handicapped do they find these blurb artists?

Greg the Bunny, Roswell, Dark Angel, Millenium and Arrested Developement are in my catalog as well ... all of which I'm sad to say I did not really watch

.... and Tru Calling is in there as well .. which again I haven't seen ....

FYI: By the way the co-executive producer of

Remington Steele was Gareth Davies

who produced a series known as Firefly

Yes-indeedy-do... comparing the mental skills of the people that con companies into being their marketing (so-called) "experts" with the mental skills of the mentally handicapped does, in general, do an injustice to the mentally handicapped community

Damn... ... now I can't remember his name... VERY, very edgy, controversial stand-up comedian who died quite young in the early '90's... OH YEAH ... it was Bill Hicks(!!), who actually did a routine wherein -doing the audience-rahrah-rabble-rousing-thing - he asked if anyone in the audience worked in a marketing job and, when he got some enthusiastic whoowhoo-ing with raised hands, he said that all those people should go out abd kill themselves right now. And then, after the nervous laughter, he told the audience he was quite serious -he meant every word - that they were all a bunch of people whose lives had ended up having no meaning (I'm paraphrasing from memory here, for all those who seem to be able to dredge the most obscure & precise quotes out of the ether) and that the only respectable thing was for them to take themselves out of the genepool and kill themselves.

... hmmm... dunno how this helps... but every once in awhile, a good rant seems to help ME

RANT! You lily-livered DUDES, RANT!!! "or your friends will think you're a stupid, inbred stack of meat."

So what, Jane Espenson was a writer for Ellen!

The truth is unforgiving, don't shoot the messenger.

Blurb-Writer (BW):

*Reading description of blurb-worthy TV show*

"This futuristic western features the Captain Malcolm Reynolds and his partners in crime, the crew of the Firefly-class ship, Serenity[/].

"Now wait just a minute. Some idiot over in programming must have gotten this wrong. This is Fox television! We don't air shows about crime! That would just be smutty! ...
