The Butterfly Effect was, let's face it, a bit rubbish. But successful DVD sales mean that it's getting not only a sequel, but also a TV spin-off. And no, we're not just messing with your mind…

The TV show will air on SciFi network.

Good heavens if that piece of ( Chinese expletive) can get a sequel and also a TV SHOW (OMG!) our show should be able to!

The workings of TPTB just amaze me.

Surely with built in fans, excellent actors, a director second to none and those stories we can get picked up too!

A lot of people trash the Butterfly Effect (and sure, I get their reasons), but I rather enjoyed the movie.

either way, yes, Firefly/Serenity is far superior ;)

I have to ask. Did you not notice the several times when Ashton Kutcher broke character? I mean he was laughing during scenes that were suppose to be serious. I watch that movie just to get a good chuckle out of the many times he breaks character.

Is he going to be in the new one? There are movies that become sequels and then flop the 2nd time around. Like the saying goes fool me once...

As much as I loved Serenity and hated TBE it still made over 90 million worldwide before it went to dvd. And cost must less then Serenity.
