I started postin the other day with some pretty obvious and pretty dumb points that have been discussed here before. Somewhere along the way though a guy named Andrew saw one of my threads as he was a newcomer too. He was received better and many great ideas have been discussed. His threads have to deal with the fundraiser for firefly and serenity and also another thread. you long time browncoats have quickly, efficiently, and intelligently proven many facts wrong that either he or i said but you have also come up with some very good ideas like making one main central page with links to the smaller firefly pages and one central page to tally the money being raised. there are many good ideas out there and i would pay attention to andrew and his threads becuz that is where the browncoats are discussing some smart ideas and finally talking again about collectively making a shot at bringing the crew of serenity back.

I have many ideas and would love to discuss them with everyone.

I too have some real issue with turning millions of dollars raised for a project over to one person with no accountability.

I will not donate a penny until we have a board of sorts to monitor the money and what it is being spent on.

Im talking accountability here thats all.

IMPRESSION

I totally agree with not giving money to a new browncoat that we don't know much of. I agree with discussing new and radical ideas or even reusing old ones or stealing ideas from other shows, whatever may be the answer. I think its a great idea to raise money but the money should be in the handeds of a trusted Mal, not a Jayne. Anyhow, I wonder why it is that there are a bunch of threads discussing the same idea when they should all be placed on one thread or a website with a continuous thread board for ideas and then vote down the ones most likely to fail to save space.

Oh I agree... Thats why I suggested all the hosts get together and make one general site. I don't know if they are willing to work together like that. Time will tell I guess.

With the Money we could

Well we could start an anual college scholarship for Science or Theatre. This would draw publicity to our cause.

We could hold firefly/Serenity conventions and have auctions with actor donated items using the procedes to assist and Independant film company in make more movies and or series.

The problem is who do you trust with your money. Hence the reason I said there needs to be a board of sorts. I dont even know if any of these Web page guys would be interested in any of this

IMPRESSION

this is great guys and everyones talkin about new ways again but we all need to talk to our captain haken. hes the one thatll keeps us goin in the northerly direction if the wind blows north but we gotta help him keep the boat flyin. we all talk much bout our ideas and such but dont do us a bit of good if we aint all for fallin under one leader on this idea and haken should be that leader.
