It's a damn shiny idea, and one I wish somebody high-up would think of! No doubt, Fox are in the process or making a deal with Apple - who isn't? But they're hardly likely to put Firefly up.. probably just some big show they have going for them at the moment.

The _really_ sucky thing about it all, though, is that it wouldn't even cost them to put it up! It's a no lose situation, at the worst they don't sell, nobody loses money.

And, at best...

it's sooo funny you posted this as i was just about to! i was going to ask if anyone knew how we could get firefly on there *g* - i mean BSG is on there... granted it's still running, but how freaking awesome would that be if firefly episodes were available... talk about getting new fans... 99 cents is a harmless purchase... i know i would check out something like that - i actually was interested in downloading the first BSG episode from the miniseries just to check it out (even tho depite my firefly lovin' i am *not* into sci-fi as a genre at *all*) but unfortunately you have to buy that one whole (guess i'll just netflix it). just imagine what it would do for serenity sales then... we should flood fox or apple or whoever is in charge of such things . i'm sure there's lot's of stuff that goes into it, especially since there aren't very many shows available, but... who knows? maybe if they had a ton of people swamping them with email/letters/carrier pigeons...

that would be so so so very awesome!

I've been harrassing itunes to have Firefly available for download ever since the ipod video came out. I told them that people WOULD download it if they put there.

I pointed out the fact to them that they have been way too slow at providing video content, and also I pointed out that even though Dragnet, Adam 12, and Knight-Rider were good shows in there day, people are more interested in watching more modern shows. I didnt mention Alfred Hitchcock, those episodes are still good, and they are classics in the real sense, so I approve of it, but the other vintage shows have to go.

I pointed out that having Battlestar Galactica for downloading was a stroke of genius, and whoever came up with that idea should be given a raise, and a promotion because it is clear that they know what people want...they did their homework.

I also asked for them to try to provide all the original Star Treks, plus TNG, I pointed out that a LOT of people would download this.

Firefly, Star trek, Battlestar Galactica, Deepspace 9, bablyon 5 (Is that spelled right?) Lex, Farscape, Sliders, Buffy etc...these are "comfort" shows, and it is in their BEST interest profit-wise, to make them available to the public for downloading.

We should not have to ask itunes to provide this stuff for us. They should already KNOW this.....somebody's not doing their job.

These itune people are getting real tired of me! I also pointed out that everytime I can't find some video content, or music on there site, I go straight to Lime-wire and I always find what I want for free, or I inform them that there are a whole bunch of nifty file converters out there on the internet THAT JUST CAME OUT, and I am now able to convert my DVDs into MP4 format to download into my ipod.

They are losing money from people like me who have money and are into instant gratification. I told them that they really need to take advantage of people like me and get with it and start providing GOOD video content.

These itune people get at least two emails from me per day, and now, they are starting to write back yapping about how they have to get contracts, or deals with NBC, ABC, Sci-Fi channel and such, in order to get the video content and crap like that.

I'm not their gorram baby-sitter, they should already know what we want, and already have provided it, which they have not....except for BSG.

So, you galz and guyz really need to get in on this one and start writing itunes. Seriously STRESS the need to have Firefly, and other scif-fi shows you like to have for downloading on their site.

By the way, for all who are interested, and own an ipod video, here is the website for the program I use to convert my DVDs to ipod format: http://www.pqdvd.com/

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day FF fans!

Stick it to the man!
