I have spent far too long today racking my brain over why that coat appeals to me on some visceral or attractive level.

Since I am far from domestic, I know I can't fashion my own.

So, where can I track one down?

See, I'm stuck between the horns of a delima and a hard place. My XBox is feelin' a might ill. So, do I send the old box in to get fixed, or just save that $$ and get a new XB360? Oh, and then there's the whole Browncoat thing. Not sure it's a good look for me, as awesome a coat as it is.

Not to be even more of a troublemaker as far as money goes ;) (and not that I want to kill cows), but the person that made the original browncoat, Mal's coat, for Firefly is now making them for order. A little more pricey, but I guess it's about as close as yo can get to the "real" thing if that's what you're looking for!

Sell the Xbox while you can still get $$ for it, the 360 is backward compatible.

If you have broadband/Xbox Live, you can download the files that make the 360 play orginal Xbox games. It plays Halo 2 right out of the box, but all other games require a download.But you need the harddrive so DO NOT GET THE CORE SYSTEM(it's not worth saving the $100, because you have to buy it anyway just for your game saves)

The problem with the 360 is the whole 'Blue screen of death' thing due to hardware issues. Give Microsoft their dues they will iron this out pretty quick, but I would advise wait about 3 months before you buy a 360. Backwards compatible is approximately 75% and I agree do not get the core system there is no point.

Damn that Browncoat is expensive and the guy wearing it looks like Ricky Gervais from the office .LOL It looks suede. Get caught in the rain with that and it's gonna be shagged.

Yeah, I've come to the honest conclusion that I just don't have the fashion sense to don a Mal type Browncoat, and where would I wear the darn thing? Tried to think of that, and came up w/ nuttin. ( unless I go back to DragonCon )

As per my XBox, I've decided to hold off on getting a 360, 'till spring. There's no reason to skimp there, so I'll definatly get the HD version. I'll just bide my time and wait....
