SUNSETWARRIOR

Like countless of people, I’ve heard of the Firefly series, but for some inexcusable reason I never gave it a shot while it ran on television. As a "fan" of science fiction, this is something that is really weighing heavily on my mind as I type this, only moments after having watched Serenity for the first time today.
The lack of recognition this move, and the series received is criminal. Despite that, I would like to thank, and congratulate Joss for sticking to his guns, and never wavering in his mission to bring to his fans what they love. This is the mark of a man who values his fans, colleagues and those like who appreciate good storytelling and inventive worlds.
In a time where Hollywood is hell-bent on force-feeding the masses lame-brained remakes of 1980's television shows, it's truly refreshing to be able to sit down and enjoy something completely fresh. Both the show and the film are true acts of love, and as an artist I find his achievements to be nothing short of inspiring.

At this point i will do my best to promote the movie and the Firely DVD, after i buy them both:-)

So did you rent it today? Where and why? What led you to watch Serenity today?

P.S. Thank you, Joss!

I got it from Netflx. I added it the Tuesday it released after a friend of mine recommended it to me after watching it the day before! Not knowing anything about Firefly made me a bit skeptical about Serenity. I must admit, the way Universal marketed the movie in theaters made it appear as either a direct-to-video release, or a return to cable for the Firefly series. It really did the film no justice at all.
