In case anyone is interested, here's a simple page which generates Firefly quotes. Select Firefly from the dropdown, and hit the button :)

It does lots of other subjects as well I originally made it for the firefly quotes, but found it was easy to add in the other stuff. It's basically fortune-mod with a perl web front end.

Everything is just flat text files, so if you'd like to see something corrected, it's easy enough - just email me. (my email is on the quotes page)

I can't take credit for the quotes database - it's part of the fortune-mod package, and the Firefly module was graciously put together by these guys (gals):

They're intended to be "fortune cookie" quotes, which greet you whenever you log into a linux / unix machine via command line.

I just wrote a little cgi front-end which lets you chose the subject (normally they're just random) and display them on a web page instead :)
