Making Firefly (Season 2) into a direct-to-DVD release is relegating it to the same status as any direct-to-DVD movie or TV series. It won't get the kind of publicity it should, and it won't get the kind of backing it should.

That and I don't like paying for file formats. Firefly has a much better chance if it goes the traditional route: TV, then a DVD set for each season. That'd still generate revenues as all us browncoats would be buying up the DVDs either way. KF

Yes it would probably work a lot better on tv, but there has been no indictation that that is ever going to happen.

Can you think of any series available via download that has near the popularity of your average television show? Being realistic doesn't mean giving up our optimism. The downloaded-TV format is a long-shot. Firefly being picked up by a new network is a far more plausible option--and one that's good enough to encourage the same writers, actors, and producer back on the set. KF
