Yeah, I do the Shiny and gorramit thing too. But recently, I went to see my sister who I had not seen for a few months. She wanted to watch a movie, so I of course took over Serenity. I was over her house for about an hour, when she asked me if there was anyway to inject the movie directly into my system. Apparently, I was very obviously uninterested in what she talking about, and I kept looking over at the movie, waiting for her to stop talking so that I could suggest watching it. She said I looked like crack addict, and I couldn't wait to get my fix. The sad thing is, she was right. I just wanted to watch the gorramn movie.

It's a plesaure to be here!

Well - I'm not entirely sure if this qualifies me, but it's pretty damn obsessive.

I was studying Chaucer's "The Franklin's Tale" for English Lit., and there's this bit where the female lead is contemplating suicide instead of facing up to something bad that she's done. It reminded me of the quote from "War Stories" -

Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity?
Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

So - naturally, I wrote the quote on the side of my book. My teacher, assuming I was writing a note, came over and asked me what it was. What could have been a short apology turned into a twenty minute description of the full background of the show, an extensive guide to the episode and exactly where the quote came from. It involved actions and detailed character histories with relevant quotes.
She then asked me if it was available on DVD!!!!

Suprisingly, that's not the first teacher I've converted.

19 conversions and counting!!!!!!!
