Wow.... I just discovered Firefly about 1 week ago and have 2 episodes left to watch. I am already feeling this pain in my stomach knowing I'm almost done. I friggin' love this show and I don't know what I'm gonna do, i'm just glad I found some other peeps who feel the same way. So hello all and thanks for having me.

Welcome!! Glad you've joined us.

The next stage is "Anger." Then sadness, and anger again.......and so on.

Welcome! I'm relatively new myself, but I can tell that I'm addicted for life. There's a glorious, angry, optimistic sadness that comes with being a Browncoat, I've come to realize. But, we must hold the line! This is a good place to stay in touch.

Yeah--don't expect that pain to go away any time soon. However, repeated viewings of the series and movie help. A daily dose of the 'verse keeps the frustration and anger in check.

Welcome!

MAL: We're still flying.
SIMON: That's not much.
MAL: It's enough.

Don't worry, that pain and frustration will simmer down and reduce to a general snarkiness and a lot of looking-down-your-nose at other less worhty shows. You'll catch yourself saying things like: "Final Destination 3? Do you know how many episodes of Firefly that would buy?" Very similar to the new Wendy's ads.

Remember, that but for one trifling exception, the entire universe is made up of others.- Oliver Wendall Holmes

Welcome home, PodWeasel!
Well as you can tell you are among friends who feel just exactly like you. Our ship is a shiny place and you'll be happy here I know.

*hands PodWeasel a Browncoat*

Glad you're here! Don't forget to tell everyone you care to about our wonderful 'verse. I personally want this pain of wanting more to go away.... so we need a sequel or a show. Best way to have that happen is for more Browncoats to come join the line and ask for more.

Hey! A Nebraska Browncoat! I'm a refugee from Nebraska (now living in Florida - hate the cold!). My daughter lives in Lincoln and I've been trying to get her to watch Firefly and Serenity. I can't afford to send her the DVDs, so I'm nagging her to watch it on SciFi in March.

Whereabouts in Nebraska are you located?

A show! A show! A show! And...a movie each summer between seasons all in a continuous storyline. Wait...I'm drifting in euphoria...okay, I'm back!

I'm from Omaha and the weather indeed sucks here..good ole' Nebraska. Great idea about having your daughter watch the episodes coming up in March, that was what I was going to try and have my friends do since I myself am watching borrowed copies. Soon as I get the money though I know what I'm buying myself!

I lived on a farm near Aurora for over 25 years. I remember the way the wind comes sweepin' down the plains and I don't miss it.

My daughter has a DVR, but she's an X-Files addict and didn't think she had enough disk space to record all the Firefly episodes along with the X-Files. I know she'll love Firefly once she sees it. I'll keep working on her and you keep working on your friends, and maybe we'll all keep flyin'. :)

Now I am learning about scary.

I'm a transplanted Nebraskan myself and I'm also relatively new to the site, but I can already tell you that I really like it here. Lots of good folk and it's never boring. Have fun and welcome!

P.S. I MISS Nebraska!
