Hello,

Ive just watched the 1st two discs of the Firefly DVD and have been blown away!! I saw Serenity when it came out and have been looking forward to watching the series, and now i finally have.

I now have to wait for the next two discs to come fromt eh online rental thing

As soon as i get enough money tho tis being bought along with serenity. Woo and yaay! Seriously though this show is brilliant and whoever decided to cancel it needs a big damn brick thrown at their children until they realise theyve been a turd. I cannot wait till i can buy the films now....

Hi and welcome!

It's interesting to hear from a new fan who hasn't finished the series, or come close. It's very typical to hear things like, "I can't believe that's all there is... I'm so bummed!"

Then we have to go into support-group mode, like "We're right there with ya."

Hope you don't have to go through that cycle, now that you know about it. And even if you do, we'll be here to get you through it. Chow's at ten, no need to dress.

I can totally relate to having to wait to have enough money to buy all this cool stuff from Firefly. If I were a millionare I'd fill my home with Firefly stuff. It stinks to be broke.

That is only because I haven't anything new to add to the conversation. *In flight school, I was laconic once.*

I've been through the Firefly dvds several times now. My husband, who is also enjoying them, has asked if I'm bummed since there is no more to view. I tell him I'm not because I like repeats and I know how much more these boards can add.

Seriously, though, it is quite a treat to have a new recruit sign on before he's even seen everything! :) How shiny is that! I really hope you will feel welcome here. The only real disappointment I can see happen, is when you find out, to your great grief, that the series ends. :( But we all hold out hope for a new series and/or BDM. That is why we hold, hold until Mal gets back!

In the meantime, make yourself at home, because you are! :)

As a newbie myself, welcome aboard. I checked out a lot of boards and sites, and, like you, this one just seemed like home. Great to see people who share my appreciation of words and characters, and the disappearing art of storytelling.
I would love to hear from any Alabama Browncoats out there. (Yes, we can read down hear, don't laugh) The ornery independent spirit that led many of our Southern ancestors to fight in the Civil War even though they had no stock in the financial underpinnings of slavery and the Old South economy, but simply for the right to live as they saw fit, is well serviced by the vision of Firefly and the Browncoat nation. Hello everyone!I am a newbie as well and I thought this would be a good place for my first post. I went to see Serenity the first day it came out and I loved it! I borrowed the dvds from a fellow Browncoat, and after 5 minutes of seeing the pilot I was hooked for life! Nice to find a fanbase that has nice intelligent people. Stay shiny all.
