Has anyone heard from any writers whose fanfics are incomplete?

I realize that many fanfic writers are closer to the other fanfic writers than myself. I merely read the created works...I don't beta anyone's material. That said, has anyone been in touch with some of the writer's whose work has not been completed yet? I'm talking writer's with over 2 months since their last update?
Are these writers ok? Are their computers down? Are they on vacation? Do they have writers block? A couple of months ago, I contacted a few using the e-mail function on this site and received a few responses back and I don't want to rush them, however, if someone closer to them has any info on their whereabouts or how close they are to completing some of these awesome fanfics, please let me know! If I can get spoilers on their stories even better! Thank you.

AAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I'm just seeing this post!

I am SO GLAD to know that you are alive!!! Whew, I was really getting worried. Glad to know that you are better (and I'm using "better" in that- they have internet access again, able to post more fanfic, way)
Not that you're going into all the sordid details on-line but is everything O.K.? If the answer is 'Yes'.... I'll start kvetching about how long I've been salivating waiting for your next fanfic posting.
If your answer is 'No', then I'll save my kvetching for a later date- no biggee... :-)
