What Genre's and games do you think our BDH's would (or would not) play given the chance?

I could definetly see Wash playing Mario games.
Kaylee probably would play RPG's that have a nice love story to them, something like FFX, rather than something like FFTactics.

Mal and Jayne would totally beat eachother up in a fighting game, probably Street Fighter, they'd also probably play some FPS like Quake IV or Half-Life 2.

River would play Tetris and other mind-bending puzzle games.

I can't really picture Book,Inara,Simon or Zoe playing video games at all, maybe as a big group activity (Mario Party and such) but I just cant see them playing anything in Single Player.

Mal: Duck hunt.
Inara: Barbie's Space Adventure.
Wash: Jurasic Sim.
Zoe: Zoe never plays, Little One.
Jayne: Donkey Kong.
Book: Bloodrayne (it's the only secret for which he feels truly guilty.)
Kaylee: Bloodrayne (Kaylee has no need to feel guilty.)
River: Dance Dance Revolution.
Simon: Grand theft Ariel.

OK I know you'll hate me for not taking this seriously but I just had to.

Good call!

I could totally see Jayne playing Donkey Kong, more the original though than the Donkey Kong Country series. It'd be like watching Spike play it (Season 5 of Angel Episode 12 "You're Welcome")

HAHAHA - I just had a vision of DDR triggering River and sending her on a killing spree. Don't laugh, it did the same thing to my roommate.

Mal: Star Wars Empires.
Inara: Lemonade Stand.
Wash: Chuck Yeager's Flight Simulator.
Zoe: Tomb Raider.
Jayne: Duke Nukem.
Book: Populous.
Kaylee: Morrowwind, maybe?
River: Hell, she'd program 'em in her sleep.
Simon: Sim City or Chess Master 3000

KIERAN

Well, I know that Nathan Fillion and a couple guys from the cast (I think Alan as well) play Halo 2 in reality. I don't think the BDH's would play video games, though. They don't have enough time with all the hijinks that must ensue.

KAELE

What? Are you kidding? Being stuck in close proximity for days on end? How could they NOT play video games!

Mal, Zoe: Counterstrike
Jayne: Grand Theft Auto
Wash: Disney's Dinosaurs
Book: Myst
Inara: Barbie My Scene
Kaylee: Zoo Tycoon
Simon: Solitaire
River: "Programming is flawed, full of bugs. Video controllers are vehicles for enhancing fine motor skills and hand-eye reflexes. Watch the bugs crawl through the screen."

I could see Wash honing his fine piloty skills with Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies. And then referring to himself as Moebius 1. :)

Jayne would like anything where you get to shoot lots of people, especially if you got to be a bad guy while doing it. Grand Theft Auto is a great choice for him. Also, some of the Clancy stuff would probably tickle him some (Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six).

I can't really imagine a video game that River would enjoy. She'd play a couple minutes of it and already know every move and possibility, and would be bored.

CAPTKAR

Wash: Mario Bros (it just fits sorry to steal)
Zoe: CoD 2
Mal/Jayne: CS multi-player against each other, or some other 1-P-shooter
Simon: nothing he would be to worried about what River was playing
River: Anything that would seem interesting for more than 2 seconds. Maybe Myth, or some other complicated 1-P-story game
Book: He would read The Bible and show all of the crew the sinfulness of wasting away playing video games
Inara: The Sims 2
