Ni-hao,

As of today, the Bedlam Bards' newest album, On the Drift: Music Inspired by Firefly and Serenity, is available online at http://cdbaby.com/cd/bedlambards

Get 'em while their hot!

BTW, if you are one of the lucky few who got an advance copy, please follow that link and write a review to let folk know how you like the music.

Keep flyin',

Cedric

P.S. Feel free to tell everyone you know about this. Really, it's okay. Let's make Mr. Universe jealous of how quickly we can spread this signal.

P.P.S. If all of us order this week, we'll put a Firefly-based item at the top of CDBaby's charts, which would be a feather in our collective Jayne hat. Just sayin'! *grin*

Heh, "coming back in stock soon."

Guess that's a good sign, right?

I believe that is a good sign.

CDBaby didn't quite believe me when I said I should ship more than the standard starting stock on this album.

Hmmm. I went to check, and according to CDBaby, there are still some in stock. So order away!

Likely I'm screwing up something simple, but when I follow your link I get the same "coming back in stock" message. Searching Bedlam Bards and On The Drift returns many results, running the gamut from Simken Heights (horrorcore, acid rap) to Dubliner's Tabby Cats (Irish drinking songs rewritten about cats).

Gotta admit, both those albums sound appealing....

Well, I'm on the cat CD, and I have to say it's pretty shiny!

Looks like the CDs sold so fast that CDBaby hasn't had a chance to update my profile--but I'm getting the sold-out message also.

For those of you who get that message, >PLEASE< put your email address on the notify list at CDBaby. I'll be overnighting more stock, so I'm sure you'll want to know as soon as more are available.

Stay shiny!

While there's a track listing on the web site, I can't find a listing of the track lengths. The samples are never more than 2 minutes, but I assume the songs on the CD are longer...?

Great music, by the way! I love Saffron's Wedding Dance (which I don't think is on the official TV soundtrack, unless I'm mistaken).

I thought I had the track listing with running times stored conveniently in my computer, so I was going to just post it here. Alas, it's on my guitar player's computer, and it's part of the .jpeg that makes up the back cover . . .

I can assure you that most of the songs are more than two minutes long. The clips on our website are just teasers.

Glad you liked "Saffron's Wedding Dance". It's a lovely tune.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Shiny Cedric. Been waiting on the CD.

Course now it looks like I have to wait a while longer:

"Coming back in stock soon"

Good news for you. Me? Not so much.

Yeah, but you have to cut me a little slack for mentioning you by name (well, by handle anyway) on our Signal interview.

And I'm cooking up a little musical snack to tide you over. I'll post it more on that very soon.

You mentioned me? Really? Shiny!

No problem about them being out of CDs Cedric. I am happy they are selling so well. You, Hawke & Lilly deserve it.

Looking forward to the musical snack.

You going to be coming to Dragon Con again this year?

Yeah, you and CallMeSerenity. Les was asking about DragonCon, and I was mentioning how great the Browncoat support had been.

We're hoping to. If we can break some records on CDBaby, I bet DragonCon would be more likely to invite us as guests.

Update:

Because of overwhelming response, On the Drift: Music Inspired by Firefly and Serenity went to back-order within its first hour of online sales.

The good news is that more stock has already been shipped to CDBaby, and ordering will resume shortly. To make sure you get a copy, reserve one now by signing up at:

http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bedlambards

In the meantime, please enjoy this absolutely free MP3-postcard of "Sail the Sky," a Browncoat anthem we use to conclude the album:
