Hmmm...me thinks a good idea would be for someone to perhaps create an actual dating site for us firefly fans. Now, before the eyes roll...there has been something like 3000 views of this thread SINCE feb 14th. We are a bunch of lonly ol' geeks. There, I said it...geeks. Band-aids come to thought. I dunno...maybe it could work? I think "geek love" is one of the awesomest things ever to witness. Just the other day, two WoWer's got married. Boy, did my heart go out to them. And think of it, two of us get together, things work out, babies start poppin' out that are MORE together than that poor unfortunate soul on the "Trekkies" movie.

Swashbuckling space pirates, I can just see the jobs we could pull.

Any feedback?

Well, I live in a country where the semi-official advice to single people is to move to a different country. Seriously. Two thirds of British singles prefer someone else to make the first move on them, which indicates that at least a third of them'll be perennially disappointed. I think 40% of Londoners are single and most of those aren't willing or able to date much. Hence, any idea seems a good idea right now.

I've been toying with that idea for months now. Perhaps I'll get serious and do something about it.

I'm currently working on the next revision of the Virtual FireFly website, I'll mention it, see if we can't have a Cortex personals or something ...

Building a dating site isn't all that hard. Is there really that much of a demand?
