I was wondering what episode meant the most to folks? For me it was "Out of Gas" which represented the faith that one has in a home/place. It did not matter what happened the Captain believed in what the ship represented. It is no different than what the fans believed in the show. I just would like to know what everyone thinks.

Do you think I'm a complete back birth!

Starr:

"Out of Gas" is my favorite as well, but mainly because it was the first episode I saw, and it hooked me 5 minutes into the show! Actually at the time, I thought it was the pilot since it gave such good background on all the characters and seemed to set a foundation for what was to come.

SERGEANTX

This might sound dumb, cause it's widely considered the weakest episode, but Train Job did a hell of lot to establish the 'meaning' of just who Mal really is. He risks life and limb to right a wrong that he was a part of, but is pragmatic enough to kick a guy into the engine intake when it needs to be done.

The moral character of the whole show was summed up nicely in the dialog between Mal and the Sheriff at the end.

Sheriff: "...but when a man learns all the details of a situation like ours, well, then he has a choice"

Mal: "I don't believe he does"

SergeantX

"..and here's to all the dreamers, may our open hearts find rest." -- Nanci Griffith
