Serenity Tees Hit Texas!

Okay, no doubt we're all aware of the Serenity tees that Hot Topic has online. Well, I just got back from one of the local Hot Topic stores, and I'm proud to report that I'm sittin' here wearin' my ruttin' new Serenity logo tee! Shiny!

If you're in the Austin area, Hot Topic in Highland Mall (near I-35 & Hwy 290W) still has some in stock. Looks like sizes Small through X-Large only; no XXL. :( I know, I'm a fat bastard who really wanted an XXL, but I can cram my mass into an XL when it's for the right cause. ;)

BTW, the girl who helped me was great, too. I felt a bit sheepish (I'm NOT the typical Hot Topic shopper, ya know, being 43 and not so much a punk any more, at least by looks...), but I asked if they had any Serenity tees, and she lit up. Which was kind of funny, really, because she looked like a goth-metalhead kind of girl - hardly what I'd've figured for a flan... Goes to show what appearances can do.

Anyway, she showed me right to the shirts, said they're selling well, asked if I'd seen Firefly as well, and we had a good time talking about Joss, his shows, and his movies. Hot Topic made me a happy Browncoat today.

Also, she said the logo tee (Serenity logo on a black tee) is the only one they're carrying, at least for now. Good thing that was the one I wanted in the first place! :)

Just spreadin' the good word to them's who needs it. Go buy 'em up so they'll have to make more. And do the same with the DVDs. ;)

They are in Michigan too! Just picked up a few on Friday at the Twelve Oaks mall and nagged the guy about when there will be shirts for the ladies too. He said they were hoping soon!

we don't have a gorram Hot Topic near me, otherwise i'd check. I live in North Dakota. I go to college in the biggest city in the state which is Fargo. We have two Hot Topics in the state, and neither of them is in the biggest city in the state. They're in Bismarck and Grand Forks. But, good news is that Fargo is finally getting one in the mall in a few months. the sign is there, but nothing else yet. i'm hoping the Serenity shirts are a new item that will be spread everywhere, and i hope it will be one of the items in our new Hot Topic. but i doubt i'll be able to wait that long, so i'm just going to order one online. They just put more up online after the initial ones were sold out.

Looks like they might be out of the Serenity logo T's in my size online. But they still have the Browncoat one. Might have to check at the store in the mall and see if they have either one in stock. Before I order online.

Remember if they are not at your Hot Topic store, you can have a nice sales clerk look them up on their computer and have them sent from another store in the region.
