Hey. I was just wondering what everyone would do if they saw a Fox executive walking down the street.

"Keep flying"

In fantasy I would kick him in the nuts, or her in the ovaries, as the case may be.

In reality I'd grill them about how stupid someone has to be to cancel Firefly and conclude the conversation by spitting on the sidewalk in front of them (or on them if I was pissed enough.)

Those bastards should really get personal bodyguards, that is if they don't already. Their not exactly the firefly community's fave people. I really hope someone gives one of those executives a real good beating someday. Anyone think their up to the job?

I'd ask him:

In my fantasy verse.

I'd put them in the air-lock and do the whole "I don't have a keel to haul you on, so" thing.

You know we've never been told how long Mal left Jayne locked in there, but I would wait twice as long.

Oh, sorry Reb, I don't know that quote. But, I'd almost swear I've heard it.

Mal: “See how I'm not punching him? I think I've grown!”

I would ask him/her why Fox no longer has the guts to take some risks and get behind new and different shows.

Remember The Tracy Ullman Show? (which, of course, brought us The Simpsons!). Fox would never take a chance on a show like that today. How about Married with Children? Not one of my personal favorites, but you have to admit Mw/C was unlike any of its contemporaries and was a big risk to air at the time. X-Files would have NEVER been supported by the big three networks in its early days but Fox nurtured that show into a hit and (now) a classic!

I would ask: What have you done with THAT Fox? Why is the new version of Fox so content to be irrelevant?

Anyway, that's the discussion I'd like to have with one, any or all of the present big wigs at Fox. I'm just glad the same group of people weren't in charge of the decisions that are bringing us the Firefly DVD set!

Rutger Hauer, to Harrison Ford, in "Bladerunner". Of course, alas, one can only dream of punishments such as the ones inflicted on Deckard for Fox executives.

"This is for Mal..." *crack!* "This is for Zoe..." *crack!* "This is for River..." *crack!* ...

History doesn't always repeat itself. Sometimes it merely shouts "Weren't you listening the first time?!?" and lets fly with a club.

I would drag them back to my place, break their arms and legs, tie them to a chair, tape thier eyes open and force them to WATCH the crap they shovel on us till they beg for the mercy of a quick death - prolly take less than an hour...

I'd give just a simple,

"Were you born stupid, or did you just grow that way?"

Jayne: "How big a room?"
