I really need to come to terms with this Firefly obsession i have and one of the ways to control it is to, first, admit that maybe i have a little problem - or as Kramer would say..."oh, i've got a big problem, Jerry...."
Well, maybe problem is the wrong word. I love Firefly and will continue to do so, but I thought maybe another diverson would help me overcome this ache in my heart for more Firefly....all that said, I happened to pick up a Playstation 2 game the other day. We Love (heart) Katamari. Probably an old title, but new to me. This thing is my new addiction. I can't stop playing. I imagine rolling up things everywere i go. I look at a thing and wonder if i will be able to roll it up. I actually dreamed that i rolled up the earth and was heading out into space looking for more. Now i have Firefly and We love Katamari on the brain. I just don't see how i will ever be able to lead a normal life again....

Anybody else hooked on this thing?? just curious

I've heard that about it. Haven't played it myself, though. Is it available for the PC?

By the way, does your nick refer to the Dave Clark 5? Are you in pieces, bits and pieces?

Can I think of any more questions to bug you with?

I don't disagree on any particular point.

Yes yes oh my god yes. This game has been known to take up entire weekends, haunt my dreams and become an obsession. I find myself looking at things and thinking "that would add about 5 cm"

If my Katamari you mean NCAA March Maddness 2006, then yes, I heart it with as much devotion as you do.

I absolutely adore Katamari. You're playing the second version of the game, though. Check out the original Katamari Damacy for loads more fun!

The music is totally addicting in and of itself, and now I have the theme song stuck in my head.

Oh, they're basically the same game, just with different challenges. The original Katamari doesn't have the fire challenge or the snow one, but it does have a very frustrating and addicting bear challenge, and a challenge where you have to pick up women and girls (to create the constellation Virgo--hah!). Basically in the original Katamari Damacy the King of all Cosmos got drunk or stoned or something one night and destroyed everything in the galaxy, so you (the Prince) have to make katamaris to put the constellations and planets and sun etc. back in the sky. Both games are equally fun and addicting in my opinion. I wanna go play them now!

I freaking love Kataamari!

I can’t say enough goof things about it, and the only bad one is the fact the first one hasn’t got a European release!

Yes it is. And to whomever else mentioned it, there IS a certain Fruity-Oaty-ness about the music in Katamari. They get into your brain, and you find yourself humming them incessantly.

I got hooked on Katamari Damacy a while back, but haven't tried We (Heart) Katamari yet. Mostly because I know I'll end up wasting inordinate amounts of time once I do!

I was just reading about that game, they say it's a game your girlfriend would love. Soon as I get a girlfriend, I'll pick up the game. My last one hated videogames with a passion.

well, it's not a first person shooter or a car crash and burn game, but there is something a bit sinister about rolling up girl scouts, students, kids, dogs/cats and police women (who are all shooting at you), plus all sorts of other civilians.
Then later on when you visit the cosmos and get close to one of the planets you've created, i think you can hear the screams of all the people you've rolled up.... i don't know, could just be my imagination....but the game is definatly addictive....

Sir, I know from experience that Katamari Damacy is such a good game that even girls pale in comparison. It's one of the most addictive and clever games ever. You will love it from the moment you hear the insanely catchy themesong until the moment the world finally fades away as you die of dehydration.

In conclusion, don't wait to play it until you get a girlfriend. That's terrible advice in general, plus you might die alone and miss Katamari.

I'm afraid I do not love Katamari. Probably because I've never played it, due to the fact it's on the PS(o'crap)2. Ever since sony put Sega out of the console buisness, I've boycotted ALL things with "sony" on them.
