Tonight while at Best Buy I moved a box of Firefly from the television section to the new releases at the front of the dvd's. I also moved a Serenity movie poster to the front of the display at a local Suncoast. Is this normal behavior for a Browncoat?

Heh, I was in Best Buy today too and looked for each of them. Firefly was nowhere to be found, and Serenity was way in the back on the bottom shelf. I didn't move it but now you've given me the idea and I might just do that tomorrow.

It's well worth being warped by.

-

I'm not in DVD places a lot, in fact I've only ever seen the thing in stores once, all I did was move it from the bottom shelf to the eye-level shelf.

Yep.

The day Serenity was relesed, I moved the Firefly DVDs from the sci-fi section over to the New Release section, right next to Serenity at my local video rental store.

And I don't work there.

And they are still there today, the box I mean, the DVDs are constantly being rented.

Don't worry i do the same, Move movies around, encouage those who i know to watch Serenity and when they want to see Firefly i make them talk to the local movie place to buy the series. I am hoping to get a copy of it in there soon. If not i may charge people to rent my copy.

Ha! I am not the only nut in this 'verse! Last week I noticed that Best Buy had the Firefly DVD's down on the bottom shelf where they were hard to see. I also noticed some empty space next to Buffy and Angel, so I proceeded to move a healthy stack of our Big Damn Show up into this shiny, eye-level space. Came back two days later and they were sold...ALL OF THEM. Not moved back down, SOLD.

Now in fairness to Best Buy, the FOX DVD section was in alphabetical order, and the FF DVD's were in their correct place(alphabetically).

I realize some of you may view this as Fanboyish behavior, which I guess it is, but this little experiment worked. Proper display space makes a difference.

This show is turning me into a nutjob.
