Alrighty then, let me give you the nickle tour. First off, let me say that I realize i started this thread on a Friday morning....not the best time to be online, but the thing is is I pretty much do my surfin early in the day....night time is the right time for, well, pretty much anything else... so, if you're looking for me - pre-noon is the time to catch me here. High Noon...well that's a whole different story (and i do mean story...what a classic...western & all...some guy name of Cooper i believe....he coulda used a fast moving space shuttle himself...)

Guy killed me Mal.... Joss Whedon killed me...and continues to do so....where are all the Joss Whedon wantabes? I was hooked on this show from day one...even with Trainjob and me scratchin my head and all...i saw something i had never seen on that little box sitting over there on the floor.....i went, bwah.....what the bloody hell was that all about.

But i watched and watched for it...where was it? this little show with the big name writer guy...baseball...that won't do....where is that little show that sounds like Gunsmoke and feels like Blade Runner? What can i say about Fox that you guys haven't cursed blue in the face already....

so, i waited and waited...saw the series....waited, waited...saw Serenity... bought em both and watch em over & over....always brings a big grin to my face do see this great little piece of tv history.

I salute everyone involved in making this site run so smoothly...as well as each member here who (having poked around a bit) truely seem to have a deep love for Firefly.

count me in...i want to come along for the ride...and don't plan to get off anytime soon....

Dayve,
Make sure you do your part for the Browcoats and send letter to CW and maybe even Joss himself. CW is a company that just merged and we're hoping that they can bring back Firefly. The addresses and stuff are in other threads so be sure to look it over.
Other than that convert all you know. Recently I've even put up fliers around my school and such to try to bring people in. Other than that I think that's about all you can do. Make sure to get yourself some serenity/Firefly gear as well and wear it often in public places. I have a serenity shirt and people have asked me about it and that's one way i draw people in. Wearing a Jayne hat around the mall, lol, or whatever gear you perfer, or using the words shiny, all ways to do it.
We're all gonna have to work together, as has been done before to bring Serenity to the big screen. I think it's only a matter of time before we get our sequel, or season 2. Just keep the faith and keep spreading the word!

sound advice IS....
wearing my 'fightin elves' t as we speak....i have all sorts of Chinese stuff in the office, at home and on the backs of friends & relatives. I have given away so many of the box sets that chistmas is a snap (as well as birthdays....What? you don't want another set...pass it around) I've picked up addresses, written, tried to call even....
when the conersation lags...count on me to bring up Firefly....
i'm not exactly 'blue in the face' , but i do carry on.

now, i don't want to sound pessimistic...but truth to tell, i've pretty much always been on the losing side (not sayin it was the wrong side), it's just that the way i see things don't always jibe with what the public in general thinks. i mean ...george bush...for crying out loud... so i have gotten used to not always having things go my way. SO...that's why i love firefly...even in its woefully unappreciated state....this is something so shiny, so right, that i know I'M not wrong...it's all the other bastards that are missing the boat.

I'm seeing some familiar names here..at least names from other threads i've looked at... and got me to thinking (which is usually a bad idea), but i wonder about how many veterans are here...I can see that roughly the entire population of Houston has been here at one time or 'nuther, but looks like some of you guys are old timers (meant in the nicest way, o'course).... but that's just me...thinkin' too much..

anyway thanks for the treats and kind gestures...i do admire those brown coats though....looking to having one of my very own!

i have to offer my humble apologies for being so late to join the crew....for sooo long i suffered alone, thinking i was the only one with this obsession about Firefly...you see i live in what might be considered a 'backwater' world. I have a small ranch in texas and pretty much stay to myself. Believe me, i did a lot of commiserating with the cows when Firefly was yanked off the air...not to say that the cows were all that understanding mind you, but sometimes they roll those big eyes and seem to sympathize... although i suspect it's just their way of begging for more cubies....(feed).

Anyway, it's good to be onboard...
