Opps sorry. Anyways I was watching the pilot (Serenity) the other night and I noticed on Persephone there are tons of Blue Sun logos everywhere in the background around the whole eavesdown docks. I was wondering why there are so many logos and why would they be on a border planet? I thought that the Blue Sun had something to do with the Alliance, possibly the people involved with what happened to River. And if anyone really knows, what is Blue Sun?

The Bible's a bit fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps.

Blue sun is a corporation, a huge corporation. They produce many if not most of the goods that people use, food, medicine, ships, etc.

It's never actually said that they have anything to do with the alliance, other than living under their rule like everyone else of course. But it's a theory that they are more involved in the government than they should be, but it's just a theory.

Blue Sun has been described (in one of the comentaries I believe) as Coca Cola plus Microsoft; a company that does basically everything everywhere. In one of the special features from the DVD set it's stated that Blue Sun is intertwined with the Alliance government in such a way that it can be dificult to tell whether your dealing with the company or the Feds at times.

Well hello there Parker6097, didn't expect to hear from you so spoon. Anyways, being a huge corporation I would think that they'd be present more on a core planet.

Why hello there Mr. Newton, oh I mean Shepard :)

I think that's one of the things that makes the blue sun seem like they could hold some influence in the alliance or maybe even be the guys pulling the strings. The alliance is pretty much limited to the core, big prescence there, some prescence in the border, almost none in the rim.

Blue sun though manufactures all the stuff people need, so they have to be present everywhere, if not them then at least their stuff. Yea they're gonna be more present in the core, where more of their stuff can be afforded, but the neccessities are still gonna be out in the rim, the foodstuffs, the fruity oaty bars if you will :)

I know Joss said Coca-Cola meets Microsoft, but I can't help thinking WalMart. (Maybe it's the blue and the smiley face is like a sun.)
But I believe Walmart has thier own shipping fleet where they would haul thier stuff from the the 3rd world sweatshops (the border planets) to the U.S. and other shiny places (the core).
Since Eavesdown is a big shipping hub it would make since that Bluesun might also have frieght there.

Why? Big corporations get big by taking advantage of the less fortunate and uneducated, so of course they would be out in the border moons. But don't think they're not on the core planets, they're everywhere.
