I know that i'm not the only one who caught the blue hand group reference last night...I'm not imagining it. When Fred was going off on the scientists she was ranting about blood coming from peoples noses, eyesockets and fingernails.

You know you just have to scare him...

Pain is scary.

OK, I caught the last few moments. I'm not really an Angel fan. But with the loss of Firefly I have a loss of Joss. Serious withdrawls. It's helps to pacify. Plus, since I love Firefly so, it gives me a greater appreciation for the other shows in Joss' Verse. I plan on watching it next week. Man, wish I'd have seen it all now. I would have noticed!!! Joss Rocks!!!

Shiny! I had to tape it. Planning to convalesce with my cold and watch it this afternoon - now there's even more to look forward to!!

This isn't the first time Firefly has squeezed into Angel either. One of Jasmine's minions last season was named "Patience." And now, for some reason, "Not so much" jumps out at me every time it's used on Angel and Buffy.

You're right - the system's wonky today. I've been having trouble getting into my Yahoo mail too. I thought it was our Sprint DSL connection.

I dont think it was a Firefly reference. They were talking about deadly viruses after all and sometimes deadly viruses tend to have symptoms like that.

Could've been a reference though.

And on another note, the term "not so much" isnt exactly new and Joss/Tim/The Writers/et al didnt exactly invent it. I remember saying it in junior high.

I actually screamed "Shoutout, shoutout, shoutout!" until my brother got annoyed with me because he still wanted to, you know, actually hear the show.

Though he did also doubt the shoutoutness of it since they were talking about ebola which does do that.

Of course my response was:

"Sure, yeah, but Joss wrote this episode so you know it was a shoutout."

And I will believe that until my dying day.

Firefly reference? I don't know about that. It seemed more like a description of the ebola virus to me.
But any port in a storm, i guess!

Angel's "mercy" line with Hauser and his buddy also seemed like a very Mal-eque moment to me

I thought the real Firefly shout out was the use of the actor who played Tracy in "The Message" - Johnathan Woodward. He was also featured in the Hugo-winning Buffy episode "Conversations with Dead People".

Take home message is Joss takes care of his people.

Well, remember he was in the last season finale as well.

Not something new. Seems hard to believe its been this long since firefly was taken off the air though!

It was nice to see the actor who played Tracey in "The Message" still working. He's Knoxy, Fred's assistant at Wolfram and Hart.

"Wash, where is my damn spaceship?"

All this Angel talk has done it to me. I am actually going back and reading over all the scripts for the previous seasons, just so I can catch up and watch this show. I don't forsee my self showin up on any Angel boards, My coat is Brown till I'm dust. But I just gotta have a Joss show to look forward to.
