Everyone thinks I'm mad that I know for loving all things joss the way I do so I was wondering if there are any other UK fans on here who feel like they're the only person with any taste out there.

I'll be in my bunk.......

hey man

me an my firends thought the same, but then we tried gettin tickets to serenity 3 only to find the meet and greet was sold out!

must be loads of us out there, some clearly more lucky then others.

If u feel lonely jus start convertin, gives u a loada ppl to tlk to. Trust me it works well.

I suggest the "Jehova Witness" ploy. Basicaly get a firend an everythin firefly that u own an start knockin on ppls doors. When they awnser tlk them through wat firefly is, show them an episode, etc

U will soon hav the entire street hooked!

Men of Honour - coming soon to a Blue Sun Room near you...

Damn chavs. Like gorramm Reavers they are. The 'Verse would be a better place without 'em.

I also seem to be the only person I know who even remotely likes Firefly/Serenity. Time for some new friends, methinks?

Well... I live in the UK, and one of my best friends converted me!!! Now we've successfully converted about fifty other people between us. It can be done - you just have to be very annoying, and make lots of little in-jokes until they get so infuriated they have to find out what you're talking about.

Also works on teachers.

------------------------------------
20 conversions and counting!!!

I'm trying to get my family to watch Firefly, but they say they will just to shut me up and then don't. Shame 19 is too late to be put up for adoption!

My mom's friend is someone who would be interested...if she could take Stargate SG1 out of her DVD player anytime soon!

Badger: That only matters to the people on the rim.

I find the best way to introduce Firefly to beginners is to not mention the whole series getting canned debarcle. Tell them it's this great new show...

When I think of an interesting signature you'll be the first to know.

A Browncoat trying to arrange a charity screening at
PLYMOUTH ARTS CENTRE in Britain
Needs emails "ONLY if you'd like to attend the screening "

As you may know, Browncoats are trying to organise charity screenings of Serenity to coincide with Joss' birthday on 23rd June. The prodeeds will go to his nominated charity - Equality Now.

I am based in the westcountry and the nearest screening announced so far is in Bristol. I have therefore sounded out the film programmer at PLYMOUTH ARTS CENTRE and... they are a huge fan of 'Firefly' and haven't seen 'Serenity' yet!!

It's not a forgone conclusion (they have a busy film programme to deliver) but what they probably need to know most of all is the kind of numbers they can expect if they undertake a screening.

Why not drop them a line at: arts@plymouthac.org.uk

but ONLY if you'd like to attend the screening - they don't need general messages of encouragement clogging up their inbox.

Here's a message you can cut & paste:

FAO: Film Programmer

Dear Madam

I would be interested in attending a CHARITY SCREENING of SERENITY by Joss Whedon, winner of the Film 2005 Film of the Year award.

Please send me further information about possible dates and advance ticket reservations.

Yours hopefully,
Good luck!

INDEPENDANT

Just off the topic competely.
Something has been annoying me for a while now.
I recieved the firefly box set for my birthday this year and in the extras it says in the booklet 'Jayne sings Hero of Canton'
Im assuming in the same way as Joss sings the Theme.
But on my disks it is missing.
Could anyone shed some light on this.

Indepandant. South Wales

Live in Leeds, from Brighton -

Have not behaved like a grown man since seeing Firefly.

I have found out who my true friends are.

Either you are with me or against me.
