I have a few questions before buying it and am hoping someone here can answer.

I know the series is full screen, but is the pilot fullscreen or widescreen? The pilot is available individually in widescreen so I was hoping that it would be widescreen in the boxed set.

Are there deleted scenes? The info on Amazon doesnt say there are, but http://www.battlestargalactica.com/home/cut.php has deleted and alternate scenes.

It wouldn't make sense for the ending of the pilot to have Baltar's death, but is that ending on the set as an extra?

Other than commentary, what extras are in the set?

Do the discs need to be flipped?

Thanks

Full screen. The separate pilot is actually the theatrical release, IIRC.

There's about 30+ minutes of deleted scenes on the pilot alone.

Not that I've found so far. The deleted scenes show the Cylons drawing swords and John Colicos making 'arrgh' noises, though.

Video game preview, I think. Might have other previews, too, but again, the box is at home and I didn't watch all of it yet.

Yup.

Thanks Indy. A few followup questions.

After posting my original post I found a site that had a bit more info but there was a question about something.

Greetings from Earth originally aired as a movie instead of as a 2 part episode. When it was split, the scene of Athena teaching Boxey and the other children about Earth's gravity was cut. When you get to that ep, can you tell me if its on the DVD as the telepic or as the 2 parter, and is that scene in the episode or is it a deleted scene.

If the discs have to be flipped, does that mean that there is no art on them to tell you which end is up? I was under the impression that you can't put art on a side that needs to be read. This is why the Superman DVD is artless on both sides and is hard to tell which is A and which is B.

Thanks again.

Haven't gotten to Greetings from Earth yet, but the box doesn't list any deleted scenes on that disc. I'll keep ya posted.

As for the discs themselves, there is no artwork on any of them, just the little text around the middle telling you what it is and what side it is.

Take care.

Ah-ha. That makes more sense. I took a look at the back of the set and they have a picture of the discs and it looks like there is artwork on them. That made it confusing when I found out they had to be flipped.

Thanks
