What is the Browncoat Ball, you ask? In 2004, the Chicagoland Browncoats threw a weekend long event, bringing in browncoats from all over the country to meet, socialize, and attend a ball similar to the one you see in Shindig. In 2005, we were all too bust with premiere events to have a ball. But this year, the ball is being hosted by the San Francisco Browncoats. Whereas the 2004 ball was hosted on Persephone, this year's ball will be hosted on Beaumonde.

What does it include, you ask? We are still ironing out the details, and you can help us by answering some questions during the pre-registration process. Currently it looks like it will include an "evening at Fanty & Mingo's" dinner/dance event Friday night, a boat tour of the bay (with side trips to Fisherman's Warf and Pier 39) on Saturday, the main Browncoat Ball on Saturday night, and a romp through Chinatown on Sunday. You can find an overview here:

When will this be, you ask? The dates are confirmed: 22-24 September 2006. The hotel has a block of rooms set aside for us, and there are also suites available for those of you who would like to party in style. You can find more info on the location and accomodations here:
http://www.sfbrowncoats.com/events/browncoatball2006/accommodations/

What does it cost, you ask? We need to know how much interest there is before we can crunch all the numbers. But at the moment it looks like it will be in the neighborhood of $150 per ticket, which will include two dinner/dance evening events and two daytime events.

Now it's time to stop asking questions and start ansering them. Who are you, where are you coming from, how many tickets are you planning on buying, and what are your preferences? Head on over to the pre-registration form and let us know. But be sure to read the event descriptions first:

See you on Beaumonde,
