Slither is SSSS.....

.....Stupendous!

I saw it Friday night at a 10:15 show. The theatre was three quarters full and everyone seemed to enjoy it and was talking about the film afterwards.

Although Nathan is part of an ensemble and not the lead character for the movie, he is a hero in his Firefly mode in many respects.

I am starting to believe he could be the next Harrison Ford. He has terrific screen presense!

The film is a science fiction-comedy-horror movie that will scare the crap out of you one minute and have you belly laughing the next.

It pays homage to many different movies including the george Romero horror flicks, return of the Living dead, Salems Lot, and many more.

There are more laughs than scares but that's a good thing. They are all intended laughs.(Unlike Basic InSTINK 2)

And the movie is also very well written and directed by James Gunn. At points, Slither is downright brilliant. (Gunn wrote the Dawn of the Dead remake a few years ago with Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames.)

This is not your standard cookie cutter horror movie and even the characters are fleshed out a little bit.

I highly recommend it and give Slither 3 and a half out of fours stars. Peace.
