How do you write an s-set (ss) on the computer? I looked in the character map, and all I can find is lower-case beta, which I've been using.

Anyone know?

Here's what I used to use to type umlauts to buddy in Germany:

ALT + 129 = ü
ALT + 132 = ä
ALT + 148 = ö
ALT + 142 = Ä
ALT + 153 = Ö
ALT + 154 = Ü
ALT + 225 = ß

It works, I just tried it. As soon as you type it and let go of the ALT key, the letter appears with the umlaut.

I hope that helps!

In microsoft word, you can type alt-shift-; release it, and type in the capital or lowercase a,u, or o to get umlauts.
