Hey there Flans!

I manage an independent movie theater in Philadelphia, PA. We held two midnight screenings of Serenity in February that were a huge hit - enough so that we'll be bringing it back in September - right in time for the one year anniversary!

So mark your calendars - I'll be posting with dates as the time draws near.

However, BEFORE our *favorite* crew graces our screens again, another crew will fly that is also close to my heart.

We're screening STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN in glorious 35mm at midnight on Friday April 21st and Saturday April 22nd.

Khan is the movie that got me into sci-fi at an early age. Just like Serenity, it's a sci-fi movie with balls - and with absorbing characters with complex relationships.

It's a lot of fun to see with a crowd.

So please come out to the other verse... and see the *other* awesome battle in a cloudy nebula. (Sure Wash is funnier than Chekov, but Zoe and Spock have more in common than you'd think...)

email bhickernell@brynmawrfilm.org w/ questions.

KHAAAAAAAANNNN!!!

OOOOOOOOHHHH SHINY SHINY SHINY!!!!! My favourite Trek movie and it's only an hour away!!!!

Mark me down for Serenity as well. I found out about it too late in February but there's no ruttin' way I'm missing it on this round. Any chance the SEPTA R5 can get me close enough?

the Septa R5 Bryn Mawr stop is about 100 feet away from the theater - just walk to Lancaster Avenue and look for the big bright marquee!

Ooh - and I forgot to mention - it's just $5!

Or you could join the seven localities who have planned, or are planning, same-day nationwide charity screenings of Serenity to benefit Equality Now on Joss Whedon's birthday.

Only problem is, I don't think the R5 runs late enough into the night to get you home - unless you want to wait until morning...
