Hi all,
Recently joined in with this site after lurking for many months reading all the great fics and ogling the pretty graphics.
I'm from Glasgow in Scotland (for anyone who isn't sure) and just turned 31 (yikes!) Have been a Firefly fan since I first heard about the series and am now following the careers of the BDHs with interest while keeping my fingers crossed for another Serenity movie.

As I'm currently attempting to write some stories I was wondering how you go about getting someone to beta it as I don't want to post anything having missed an obvious mistake.
Any advice or suggestions would be welcome.

Hey there, and welcome to our little Haven. I'm sure the welcoming committee will be along shortly with various food and sundries, and surely FollowMal will be by with your Browncoat (if we can pull her away from Mal long enough that is :)

Far as finding a beta goes, I think I've seen a thread or two in the Blue Sun section of the forums on occasion from those in similar predicaments. Maybe posting a blog would get you more visibility, though. Anyways, good luck, I always enjoy seeing what all our talented 'coats are up to.

Keep the faith, spread the word, and of course we hold until Mal gets back. And if he takes too long or something happens... we take the ship and come rescue him of course ;p

Welcome ComicGirl!! We love new ppl!!! They all got such interesting stories...

LOVE Glasgow too! I love Scottish trad music and Glasgow is the place for a lot of that...

pull up a stool and make yourself at home.... someone will be along to offer to beta your writing.. I don't have enough time to give it a fair reading but someone will!

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be about a lot since this site's already my second home.
I've still got a lot to look through in the threads (I keep getting sidetracked by the fanfics and pretty, pretty graphics!) but I'll have a little look-see on the Blue Sun thread for more info about Betas - thanks for the tip.
